Cardiff and Millwall have reached the FA Cup final in recent years so I think that has added to the incentive for teams outside of the top flight to try and go on a real cup run as you just never know what may happen. In reality though who honestly sees a side outside of the EPL winning the FA Cup in the next 10-20 years? I don't.

The early rounds are fun although for clubs like ourselves who are well established but relatively small club to be treated by the media with complete insignficance, much like we were against both Northwich and Halifax. The support of these small clubs get though does annoy me, especially with the way commentators behave like it's a natural thing in those parts every week, you honestly think the likes of Stevenage get that home crowd every weekend? They got 6,332 against Spurs yesterday, they got 3,345 in their last home league game.

Portsmouth the other year Do we have to go back to Trevor Brooking's header in 1980 otherwise?

I thought Portsmouth were still in the PL that year My mistake.

Edit: They were! Yeah, 1980 was the last time.

Sorry the smiley was intended to imply that yes, they were in the PL that year. But only just

Stevenage giving a good account of themselves here so far. Trying to play some decent football and beaten only by a wonderful goal from Defoe. It's going to be a tough second half for Spurs if they're going to grind a result.

Well I'm resigned to watching it on the TV tomorrow, but I'm hoping Chelsea are all knackered after their mid-week exploits and we might lift our game as we seem to have done all season against the better teams, which I just about consider Chelsea to be. Only slightly.
Knowing us we'll be the ones who Torres finally gets a goal against.
Up the Foxes.

Blind optimism, isn't it cute to watch.
I have a feeling Sunderland may nick it here at Everton 1-0. I don't know why but I just think that Everton team is going to be deflated after the derby defeat and David Moyes took a fair bit of criticism from his own supporters on his anniversary after the changes he made, and I can see this all working in Sunderland's favour.

Jesus Christ, this is awful. I can only hope he's going to be okay, but this is not looking good at all.

Something serious is going on with Boltons Muamba

bbc
White Hart Lane is a very subdued place at the moment while everybody awaits news of Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba. Ian Dennis, BBC Radio 5 live's chief football reporter, has just reported that Muamba is fighting for his life.

This really doesn't look good. Just look at Defoe's reaction, he was the first to him and he's virtually in tears. The game has got to be abandoned really, speechless right now to be honest.

There have been a number of cases like this on the football pitch in recent years. Hopefully this has a good outcome.

Any idea what's happened to him? Was it like the Marc Vivian Foe case? The reports don't sound good!

Has really put the whole game of football into perspective hasn't it?

Thought the reaction from the fans and the way they united really said it all. At this stage we can only hope and pray he is going to be okay.

The right decision to abandon the game, there is no way the players could carry on anyway.

According to Sky they had to use the de-fib, which basically means his heart had stopped.

I just saw a youtube clip of it. He was moving when the physio got over to him, it looked a bit like a seizure to me and he wasn't clutching his chest, so might not be a heart attack. Awful event, the other players looked awful.

The other players reactions and the looks on the crowds faces showed how serious it was. It was awful to watch, it didn't look good. We can only hope he pulls through

Yeah they reported that on ESPN too. I thought ESPN handled it very well I must say, they didn't speculate and they pulled the cameras away from the scene, the players and the managers, apart from when neccessary.

Just hope he's going to be okay.

Sky are reporting that a hospital statement is to be released in which it confirms he is in a stable condition.

Hope this is accurate and not media organisations trying to outdo each other and get the Breaking News headline first.

That seems to be accurate. SSN anchors still seem really taken aback.

Two goals two assists, who needs Drogba! Good to see him finally score again though.

I know
I didn't see it on TV, I didn't even listen to the radio, I missed the first half an hour to walk in and it was 2-0. Then Torres scored. Then the humiliation was so great, I gave up.
Apparently we never even turned up, which was disappointing. I wasn't expecting to win but I was hoping we'd give them a scare or 2, but alas we were toothless. Shame, but never mind.

How shit was the Leicester keeper? Think four of those goals he just fell flat on this arse instead of diving for the shots

You're embarassing me now, I still didn't see it.
To be fair, Schmeichel has been close to our player of the season so far. He looks good and I'm not just saying it. The best keeper we've had since Tim Flowers about 20 years ago He must have had an off-day, but like I said, I didn't see it so can't comment, but yes, conceding 2 goals to the "worst striker in Premiership history" must be bad.
