 At least his misdemeanour's are on the pitch and not off it unlike those despicable Giggs's and Terry's of this world. He's the pantomime villain that gets booed everytime he comes on stage, and he revels in it by the looks of things.

 Great performance, Sam Byram was immense. Kept Bale quiet for most of the game, he ran out of steam towards the end (as did the entire team) but we were good for that win.

And to think there's fans who consider the cup competitions a waste of time. The past weeks cup games have provided the best entertainment of the season so far imo.

the League Cup has been great entertainment all season as well. Even the matches that weren't upsets (Arsenal/Reading, Chelsea/Man United) were ridiculously fun to watch as well.

I still have some reserved dislike for the FA cup, my main gripe is we invest our time so heavily into the leagues that it is the main attraction, and I think the FA cup breaks into this too often. However this could be easily remedied if the cup started earlier in the season as opposed to January. It's this late start that causes it to be every few weeks. Not only does this break up the flow of the leagues but I feel it makes cup matches less of a spectacle as they come too thick and fast, and would be better off being a big occasion every month or 6 weeks.

How dare they I hear you ask

Some cracking results this weekend, I was pissing myself with laughter at Spurs (it's our year) and Liverpool (we can concentrate on 6th place) being knocked out.
If we can past our replay against Huddersfield I personally think we can beat Wigna at home, then, well, I think it's our year.

Fair play I do realise it starts sooner for the earlier rounds, and they too should start earlier. Get them started in September time (leave August clear for the league's to get under way). As I say, they're more of a spectacle if they're spread out. Imagine those fans of teams like Macclesfield and Oldham if they had 6 weeks of anticipation and build up for their big days out.

 Somebody tell Hernandez this is a contact sport because that was pathetic. I really can't stand it when footballers blatently dive like that and then roll around like they've been kicked in the stomach. Should be a yellow card every time in my book, even if there was very minimal contact in the first place, it's part of the game, but the dramatics really put me off football.

 This is as bad as I've seen Everton play for some time. Its like they haven't woken up for the early start.

There was an interesting article (can't remember where, the Guardian?) on how strikers seem to lose the ability to score after a short while with Moyes. He really needs someone to put the ball in the net very early in the second half to have a chance.

 Uniteds team is abit so-so while Benitez has been out a strong Chelsea team.
Got me thinking,what would look better on Benitez's CV (taking into account he's leaving by the end of the season)?a Fa Cup winners medal or a 4th place PL finish.I think we all know the answer.
