Peoples' bigotry astounds me.  As someone earlier in the thread hinted at, that first woman is bound to be out of work and on benefits, living in a cosy house or flat on our dime, whilst everyone she was abusing probably worked hard and contributed to the country and economy, some of them doing jobs which a lot of us would turn our nose up at.

I'll agree about the bigotry bit, but the she does keep saying over and over that she works.

I have absolutely no time for anyone who hold those kind of opinions. When I was about 12 I very publicly dumped my then best friend because she started hurling abuse at a black woman who was quite obviously slightly physically disabled. Not that it makes any difference racism wise, it exists no matter the colour, but my then best friend was of Indian descent.

As I say, I'm not defending her words in the slightest but I'm not about to make judgements about her personal life either.

I'm amazed at how temperate the abused people (including those who were not visibly ethnic) were towards both of those disgusting sub-human racists. I would have spat in their faces honestly, but it was the best way to have them prosecuted without innocent people being implicated.

I don't think we can generalise conclusions about racism in Britain from these instances because both of those women are bigoted on a demented, irrational level (the condition of racism) but it is one of the most unpleasant things to encounter for any human being.
