Once again, there's absolutely no need for this to be in 3D. The $18m Cameron put into converting it should've gone into his next movie, or something more worthwhile, because if there's nothing extra to be gained from most 3D releases, how will there possibly be anything extra from this? However, Titanic still remains a great film, and very worthy of a cinema re-release. Just, you know, in a nicely restored 2D format...

I'll probably see this in 3D just to see how good a converted 3D movie can look. Since Cameron is so into the format I imagine he'd want to do the best job he can.

Saying that, I wish this trailer had taken a leaf out of George Lucas' book when he did the trailer for TPM in 3D, and completely removed all traces of the worst part of the movie from the adverts.

In that instance; Jar Jar Binks, in this instance; Celine Dion!

I can't wait, never saw Titanic on the big screen and haven't watched the film in five years.

I actually think the film will gross a lot of money. It's being released around the Easter holidays, the 100 year anniversary will give it lots of coverage, fans from 1997/98 are now grown up with disposable income and will have nostalgia drawing them in.

The film is so much better than Avatar and even critics have to admit the film is crafted beautifully, the final shot gliding down the corridor and dissolving into dream is still amazing.

He spent 18 dollars on this? Wow, that's economical.

I could be just over-reacting here but I think it's in somewhat bad taste to cash-in this way on the disaster's centenery.

Still amazes that you love the film so much just from watching it on the telly, Tech. Seeing it on a big screen will just blow you away I think!

"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets."

If only 3D could paint over one of the most awful lines of dialogue I've ever heard. But it can't. What I fear it can do is exploit a terrible human tragedy.

Can it make this guy even remotely believable?

(by this guy I mean Tommy Ryan but Empire is not allowing me to upload his image for some reason)

No. Surely one of the most painful national stereotypes ever committed to film. He may as well have been called Paddy McPaddyFiddle.

But what 3D can do is present many hundreds of people dying literally right in front of your eyes. COOL!

I personally can't wait for this to be released in 3D. Just imagine the scene where Leo DiCaprio sketches the naked portrait of Kate Winslet. Her tits are gonna be in our face!!!

This just proves one thing, that 3D is a purely to cash in on money and not to add anything to film quality of story telling!

Hope they've given the Winslet's knockers' a good 3D mastering?

Imagine being the guy working on converting that scene...frame by frame...for days... must have been exhausted by the end.

anyone who pays to watch this should be hosed in sea water ice at the cinema foyer, followed by a kick in the crotch, for that full "4-D" effect.

Why doesn't Cameron stop fannying around with this and put his efforts into bringing out 'The Abyss' on Blu Ray!

Or 'The Terminator'....

Or 'True Lies' for that matter!

He did a bang up job with the Blu Ray releases of Aliens and T2 so why doesn't he stop with all this 3D nonsense and sort it out.
