Posters don't really matter. (Although I realise this article was written for its 'comedy' factor). If I chose to see films based on posters; I doubt I'd see many. When I think of some of my favourite films the posters are either run-of-the-mill, by-the-numbers, chiche and/or utterly uninteresting. I have more of an issue with trailers. I've gone out of my way to avoid watching trailers for any movies I'd like to see... and you know what? I'm genuinely enjoying films more now than I did when I allowed trailers to spoil the films for me. Of course, avoiding them doesn't improve bad movies, but for half decent- or better-films I'm convinced it makes a massive difference. Try it!
