Yeah, plus the fact some of them are about 18 hours long.

It has been a long ass round, hasn't it? People should be more like me and nominate brilliant shorter films.

Doesn't that mean everyone should vote for Gimli because he nominated the shortest?

Did you like Requiem?

I have Requiem, The Penalty and Wise Blood left to watch.

Also, it disappoints that such an incredible film like Marketa Lazarova got such a poor reception. Shame on all of you, haters.

It's probably going to make my top six.

That might depend on my opinion of Underground - OH THE IRONY.

Watched Requiem tonight, I'll post more about it tomorrow as now I'm to bed for some hard core lamenting.

IDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIIDIDIDID

I'm trying to write up a quick review for lists, but I'm currently embroiled in a XO Marmite War that is diverting all my attention.

I was worried there for a while when there hadn't been any tits in it, thought you'd gone soft on us, but the last ten minutes really delivered. Reputation - unblemished.

Underground - Deviation, you magnificent bastard. Belter of a choice.

And with that, votes are sent.

Saw Downfall earlier and just now finished The Penalty. Downfall's great, The Penalty is another in a long line of silent dramas that's left me cold.

With just Das Boot and An American in Paris now left to watch I feel I may again struggle to vote for 6 films I actually wouldn't mind seeing make it though.

Yep. Despite growing on me since I last saw them and the fact I gave them 4*, The Last Picture Show, Bonnie and Clyde and Wise Blood scream out to be as being worthy of a place. Marketa, The Penalty, the Room and Requiem don't stand a chance. I'd imagine that the two films I need to see will both make my top 6, but there's a big chunk of this HOF that were never in contention.

I hope
