Starting November 7th on FX, seen trailers for it, looks interesting. However, the publicity line... 'from the makers of Glee'... isn't something that particularly sells it to me!

Anyone caught a glimpse yet?

I've seen the pilot and it is batshit insane. Haven't bothered with the rest, it's just a bit too out there for me.

Seen the first 4 episodes, & It's superb. By far my favourite new show this year.

Everything you ever loved about horror films, in a TV show.

Ok, some mixed opinions there. As I'm unlikely to see any of the episodes that have been shown so far in the States, I think I'd like to keep this UK speed, but any spoiler free opinions (I suppose that's kinda what I welcomed in my original post) are fine until it starts week Monday.

No spoilers here, but I've seen the first few episodes too. It is mental. But... I like it.

It looks like one of those shows that'll be either brilliant or totally crap.  I'm hoping for the former but preparing for the latter, based largely on "from the makers of Glee".  Though the critics seem to have been quite generous in their praise, and apparently Zachary Quinto turns up later in the show, so fingers crossed!

This is a bit of a marmite show. Love it/hate it. It's ridiculous, but I find it entertaining. Mr. Quinto is fun... Ha!

Ha! I'm working. I'm on the later shift this week so I get hone after 9. Not enough time! I was up until 2 after watching the second half of Once Upon a Time before dinner, Dexter over dinner, homeland while I did the dishes and then broadwalk when I should have gone to bed. Walking dead, Hung & Boss will have to fit in somehow.

Wow, I only watch two of those shows you mentioned on a regular basis. I started watching Boardwalk Empire but I'll leave that til other stuff finishes.

Just seen the first episode.

Yeah, I'm in for what else they can bring to the table.

A bit cliche and a plot I have seen countless times, but it was fun and I will be watching again without question.

Mad to think that Ryan Murphy has the mind to create the horror that is Glee and then write something like this

I liked it but I'm not sure how they're gonna draw this out for one series, let alone more.

Same man who also brought us Nip/Tuck, Popular and Running with Scissors though.

I really enjoyed this and can definitely see this being something I'll get into.

It is just about the campest thing out there.

Which is no bad thing.

I quite fancied watching this but was a bit put off by the all-conquering charisma vacuum that is Dylan McDermot.

I don't think it's perfect but it's intriguing and I have enjoyed it so far. It does seem to be kind of built from various cherrry-picked horror movie cliches but maybe that's the point!
I just found it a bit silly how so many weirdos were showing up to tell them of their impending doom or just showing up and acting freaky in their house all in the first episode. I know it's to be expected in something like this but still it seemed a bit too much too soon.
Not really that enamoured with the constant wobbly camera and sudden cuts that seems like the opposite of creating tension really. Still I am a sucker for this sort of thing so I'll probably stick with it... the sexy maid helps too!

I've seen the first episode (and half of the second) and I found it cliche ridden and underwhelming, however I am shallow enough to say that if the lovely Mr Quinto is going to pop up later then i'll be tuning in... how i've missed him since Heroes!

I've commented on another thread... you can tell it's written by a gay man 'cos of all the times Dermot has had to wander around naked! A 'charisma vacuum' he may be, but that's a mighty fine ass!

Yeah I'm gonna have to agree with LostHighway here on the physique of Dermot, that's truly something worthwhile watching for.

Apart from the obvious benefits, I'm really enjoying this. Yes, it's cliché ridden, but that's the point of it. If it wasn't an ensemble piece of lots of different horror bits and bobs I'm sure it would have a far less obvious name for a series than "American Horror Story".

I actually had this conversation with the wife...  She asked me "would you-knowing she was old but to your eyes, looked like that!"...

I went "damn aye!"...... There be no cleaning on that day let me tell you!

Enjoyed the second episode more than the pilot.  Loved the opening scene....awesome, even though it turned into a Strangers homage

Watched E1 last night and really enjoyed it. The wife was scared shitless but I thought it was good fun. Nothing original in it but thats not the point is it?

Ha! I gave up on glee mid way through the second episode of this season. I couldn't take it any longer.

The random crazy is working on this show. For now...

Episode 2 was decent but there's no way you'd stay there.  How are they gonna get around that? In reality you'd rent and sell it on...

Wifey made it very clear she didn't want to stay there any more and they were putting the house on the market.
