The pic is too big when I link it directly, but this link has a better-sized image of my latest Bronson look.

I'm sorry Homer, but you had a head start, it doesn't count
Mine is now itching, it almost came off last night to be honest. I shall persevere.

Same here. I fucking hate it already and it's only been a week. Plus I look like a massive cunt.

That is not a pleasant image.

Wait until you get a couple of weeks in and it tickles every time you breathe.

mine's okay. I think i look a bit like the Sundance Kid. People keep asking me if I go to the Blue Oyster bar, though.

I am sporting my waxed moustache in work today. a) I forgot I had a meeting to go to. b) I'm also going to the cinema later. This should be interesting.

I am told I have a military look with it waxed... I'm the most pacifist person I know.

Fully agree!

Was in a meeting this morning where 3 of the guys have the beginnings of a tache and I did actually think "Homer's just cheating"

I fully admitted to cheating when I started, and on my Mo page. I did this last year "properly" and by the end of the month I'd only just got a tache. It wasn't much of a talking point.

By starting with month-old tache hair already, I am now able to do much more with it, styling-wise and, as I suspected it might, it has become much more of a talking point. Since the objective of Movember is to raise awareness (and funds, of course) for research into prostate and testicular cancer, the moustache being a talking point can only be a good thing. People notice it, people talk about it to me, and I tell them what it's all about.

So yes, one aspect is "gosh that tache looks pathetic", but the whole point is that in general moustaches are "not cool", hence the charity aspect to wear one for a month is undesirable, so people for one to do it.

And I've still raised nearly 300 so far, and we're only a week in, so I think I'm doing fine...

I want more suggestions of famous characters-with-moustaches whose looks I can recreate, along the lines of my Plainview and Bronson recreations...

If I can find a hat, I can totally do a Poirot look. Sadly I don't have enough hair either on my head nor on my upper lip (yet) to do Bill the Butcher's follicular phenomenon.

I've started by growing a kind of light beard since last week. I plan on shaving it off on Sunday and will probably go for a Hightower style tache.
