Ving Rhames is in this? How come he's not in either trailer?

I really want some confirmation or denial that Ving Rhames is involved from sources other than Empire and IMDB. Other than that, this film really can't come soon enough

After hearing that we're getting a "cheap" Bond with less action and more "drama" next time, no exotic locations and the dour Mr. Craig with a beard...somehow this movie looks all the more cool and exciting. This looks like it could be as good as the first M:I, the only one I really like.

great trailer in fairness, but half the plot is gone.. between that and Empire's analysis that 'the four of them are all that remain of IMF' which means Ving Rhames defo goes bye-bye close to the start of this, to answer the above question...

I actually think that Rhames shows up late in the movie in some surprising way to save their ass...I'm guessing that's why they aren't showing him, because it's basically a cameo but important to the plot.

...for a proper film version of Mission: Impossible, so far it's just been Tom Cruise playing at being James Bond rather than the ensemble cast and role playing of the series.

While we're on the subject of Bond, benskelly probably shouldn't get his movie news from the Sun newspaper.

What a great trailer, but why oh why do we need to get spoon fed so much information about the contents of a film. This is something thats being bothering me for ages about modern trailers and indeed the amount of information film makers feel they need to release in order to sufficewnt buzz and box office. It would be a pleasure to go to my cinema for once and only know the outline of a film rather than most of the twists and turn. Perhaps I also need to stop reading Empire and other websites!!! lol

However much they bugger about with the MI theme music it still gets me all jumpy and want to do 'spy stuff'. No idea what that means...
Anyhow, this looks top (ha ha!) and Tommy C is looking like he's never gonna get old (sickening, all that hair too).
Mr Pegg does his best to steal the show simply by speaking and confirming the suspicion of all Americans (bless their little hearts) that us English are a right bunch of nerdy cowards with thin legs and an a love of avoiding trouble and/or mortal danger. And they're right. Except for Mr Bond... Let's just see how the BRILLIANT Mr Craig does shall we? Reckon 007 could fart and Ethan Hunt would fall over. Bond still kicks all sorts of spy arse and they know it!

This is why I read the comments, spoiler heavy trailer means no watchy for watchy for me, cheers for the heads up guys. As soon as Brad Bird was named director I was excited so I was on the 'this'll be awesome' band wagon long, long ago. Hoping the soundtrack rules (Bare Island, MI:2 soundtrack, Amazing)!

Why are they always getting double-crossed? Can't they actually just do a mission rather than uncover a deadly deceit? Still, I've always felt they've gotten progressively better with each installment, and I suspect that this will finally nail the formula (MI3 nearly did it... just a gutless finale ruined it).

Okay, you may have a point on the beard part...but the budget being $100 million less than it was on QOS is a fact. And the only location outside the UK is South Africa. While we get actual big city locations in Bourne and M:I, the Bond series seems to take place more and more on construction sites and quarries, in deserts, all isolated locations and enclosed Pinewood sets - why? Because the producers are cheap and greedy and are not following Cubby's rule of putting every dime right back on the screen. The days of "Bigger, better, Bond and beyond" are over with, they seem determined to make Bond smaller and duller. This, from a longtime fan of the series - I want Bond to be the best.

This trailer shows you can do all the Bondian things: glamour, beautiful girls, great stunts, gadgets AND make if feel fresh and up to the minute - but no, the Bond series wants to be "serious", rely on "drama"... Zzzzzz.

I think you can put it down to the choice of Directors this 1 & the last have been story driven Directors without any real history in Action although I suppose you can make a point for Mendes in Jarhead & Road To Perdition somewhat.

Cruise, Pegg, Patton, Rhames, Renner, Holloway. All of these are credited as members of the IMF. So clearly someone dies or someone is a traitor. Hmmmm

Turned it off after 15 seconds. Teaser trailer's enough for me, thanks.

The thing with thrillers is that most of the fun comes from the twists and turns. Give 'em away in the trailer and it's like pressing a pin against a balloon – all the fun escapes in one big bang.

Fair play this looks fantastic but I really wouldn't bother watching the trailer - it gives away far too much of the plot.
