Well I'm guessing that when trying to join a friend or crew member, if the server is full it will fail. But it hapopens all the time and even when a friend messages me and tells me there are only a few people in, still, it fails.

Also, I downloaded the recent patch but I can't seem to find out where you get this $500,000 which Rockstar have released to players due to all the trouble in the first week. When I went online the other day I saw something about it but it didn't stay on the screen long enough before the online loaded up and it went to my character.

Any ideas whether it has being released and if so, how do you get your hands on it?

The 500,000 has been delayed slightly, there's another patch coming (apparently) and something called the beach bum pack, then the money will be delivered automatically.

Also, looks like the first piece of DLC will be set in North Yankton. The return of Niko is a strong rumour as well....

Just realised I've done most of the Lester assissination missions without taking full advantage of playing the stock market at the same time.

Balls.

About to do the Union Depository mission - should I invest in another company ahead of this? Surely there's going to be some sort of market fallout?

I followed his tip on one of the missions and lost about $250,000 across three characters. The next mission he didn't give any tips. Overall I am down on the assassination missions.

You don't need any extra money once you've finished the main missions. It's more than enough.

I too did this. All of my characters are sitting on about a million each and I'm nearly finished the main campaign. I think.

Finished the main story today, chose option C. It had to be. If anyone chooses option A then they're dead to me.

All my guys have around $35M each.....

I didn't realise you could invest with all the characters for the assassination missions. D'oh.

Made a lot with Franklin on them but could have made more. I invested $35m in the construction company and it should have at least doubled but when I went to cash in, my transaction to buy the shares hadn't went through.

Decided to start going for collectables as well, as I've finished the main story, but collecting submarine parts and radioactive waste was just too tedious for words. Fuck that.

Game over for me with this one I think.

They were the worst, all other collectibles were too bad to be honest.

This is what each of my characters has:

I enjoyed them. I was stressed at work so spent several nights mindless gaming. Not concentrating on story and just picking things up.

Only got two missions to go before completing it.

Annoyed that I took Trevor to pick up the train and it then switched to Micheal to fly the chopper. He only had two bars of flying while Trevor and Franklin both had flying maxed. It did not make it easy.

I was originally going to go for my own helicopter or plane but it just doesn't seem worth it. Think I might get an Entity XF.

I've barely been on Live. I'll probably just buy the stuff needed for the achievement.

The Seven Most Pointless Features of GTA V.

Clothes.

Being able to customise your character is a good thing. It helps you personalise the game to how you want it to look. The problem is after you spend your hard earned money on a flash new suit for them to turn up back in their underwear the next time you switch to them. No point doing that again.

Tennis, Darts and Golf.

It makes it more of a real world etc. etc. But would you really play them if the game didn't make you?

The Radio.

The worst radio in any game, not just GTA. A hundred channels of boring uninspiring music which you have to scroll through to turn off every single time you change vehicle.

Customising Cars.

A bigger, more expensive problem than the clothes. Possibly highlighted by the bug with the garages that don't seem to have been fixed. I buy an expensive car and spend ages kitting it out with all the best equipment and a nice new paint job, (Although not a patch on Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2005's customisation). I then switch character and when I flick back I'm back to driving an old red pickup truck. Never do that again.

Gold Medals.

It's supposed to be an open world game but you get penalised if you do things your way?

Cyles.

A vehicle which requires button mashing to use, an input that should have disappeared along with QTE. And don't get me started on the Triathalons.

Franklin and Micheal.

They're not Trevor.

They're certainly taking their time with any worthwhile DLC, I wonder if they've prioritised getting a next gen version out first

ha, I'm getting annoyed by this one too - I seem to fly perfectly under a lot of them but it doesn't like registering. I think I'm getting a bit overwhelmed by just how much there is to do post-game that I'm not sure what to go for first. So I decided to try and get some of the more pesky achievements out of the way first.

Anyone else still playing this? As I started GTAO last night but could do with a bit of company (360)

Edit: All done with the single player. Overall nothing too difficult just a lot of time needed post-game to mop everything up. Not sure I would have had the drive to do it if I didn't have the past week off.
