is cos not one VG adaptation has had a decent director. Halo plus Jackson would have been feckin awesome if it had of happened.
Prince of Persia copied loadsa scenes directly out of Assassins Creed. FYI.

There's nothing to say they can't work. A good film is a good film, no matter where the concept originates.

The reason video game movies have a tendency to be shit is because no-one really cares about them. Shitty directors, shitty writers, shitty producers... But somehow, quality acting talent is attracted to these shitty movies. Probably for the same reason the studios make them: to trade on the name. They think that'll be enough to be swimming in the black.
