Tommy Wiseau - But I suppose you could say he provides good comedy though.

There's the Nostalgia Critic on thatguywiththeglasses who did quite a funny review of it (the rest of his stuff is over-the-top though).

Uwe Boll? Obvious I know but he's sooooooooo shit.

Also Michael Bay.

Bay is awesome.

Boll is so fucking bad though, amazes me that he continues to get money to basically shit on a camera and pass it off as a film.

You could say the exact same about Bay aswell.

Damn it! Touche...

So in your opinion The Rock and Alone in the Dark are of the same quality?

No but they are still both terrible directors. Comparing two of their films is like comparing a regular turd to diarrhoea, they both stink but on different levels. The only reason The Rock kind of works is because of Nic Cage and the fact that Bay clearly didn't have full creative control of the film. Once they let him off the leash it went downhill fast.

Bay is a nightmare of a director, he's like Cameron without the capacity to reflect emotion.

...and without the ability to shoot, edit and structure an action scene, which sucks as he only makes action films. He actually is nothing like Cameron, apart from the genres and budgets they work with.

Like Mark Kermode says Bay is nothing more than a porn director with a $200m budget.

As much as I slag him off, I will say this for Cameron - at least his awful behaviour is in pursuit of trying to make the best damn films he can. What's Bay's excuse?

Clearly $199,999,999.99 of which isn't used on making good films.

No wonder he got on so well with 'Arnie', probably why he recommended Sam Worthington to McG.

Michael Bay isn't the best director but I still love The Rock, Bad Boys and half of Bad Boys 2

M. Night Shamoolymooly is utterly dreadful and his films are tedious, banal drivel.

i think he is more of a terrible writer than a bad director. I quite like his directing style, he should just get someone else to write his films for him.

He's a good film maker all round, his skills are fine, it's his ruddy ego that prevents him from spreading the work and delegating and bringing other people 'on board', if he let some aspects of the process go he'd free himself up a bit more and allow him to see wood for the trees, but as he feels he MUST be involved with all aspects to the letter, because he thinks he's better than everyone else, he'll continue to make progressively worse films.

Sixth Sense was brilliant. His films have gone gradually downhill since then.

I haven't seen a lot of his films but I did enjoy The Sixth Sense and The Village.

Your inability to spell his name right sadly invalidates your point.

I see most of you beat me to Michael Bay.

I'd say George Lucas then. A great ideas man but a terrible director. A New Hope may be an excellent exception but that's still no excuse.

You don't want to hear how I pronounce it then! Something like "Shang-a-lang-a-ding-dong"...

... OK, maybe not the ding-dong bit but you get my point.
