This one wigged me out...

quote:

When my little sister first started talking she used to say some really disturbing things. She used to tell us about how her old family would put things inside of her and would make her cry but her Daddy eventually burned her so much that she was able to find us, her new family. She spoke about things like that from the ages of almost two to four, she was much too young to have ever been exposed to any content where children, or anyone else could be sodomized, so my family has always thought she held memories of a prior life.

God there are so many really creepy ones like this! Three-year-olds saying to their parents, "Remember when I held you this way when I was your mother?", or, "This is where the man who comes to see me died," kids claiming they were WWII pilots and accurately describing planes, kids who otherwise can barely string a sentence together. Always between the ages of two and six.

There are some where parents find their kids having exactly the same 'imaginary friend' as they did, or describing perfectly dead family members they don't know of and calling them by the correct name. One kid was leaving glasses around the home for "the dark man who spits water, he doesn't want to mess the carpet" - the parents later found out people including slaves had drowned near their home.

Aaaaaaand the goosebumps are back...!

I had this actually. My mum tells me that when I was a very very young kid I used to talk about how my other mummy hurt me with knives and eventually I came to my actual mum. Of course most normal parents would try to forget it but no, somehow my experience was written into a book about children & reincarnation and eventually there was a piece in the News Of The World about it....

Needless to say I remember nothing about it, but I have seen the book as my the author gave my mum a copy, and I believe the News Of The World article is knocking about at my parents' home too.

I'm 99.9% sure I've seen that exact smiling dog photo before, but not so dark (as in light level), and as a lolcat style funny. In fact it was maybe even in the LOL thread...

Well that was different.

This has a nice agoraphobic feel to it.

I like this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXdgvMuItMw

The audio may well be fake but the storm-clouds themselves are fairly pant-wetting.

That's amazing, I'd love to experience something like that.

Even the stuff they admit to is tantamount to ritualised torture and if the stuff they do not admit to is even partially true that is so messed up.

For some reason I feel compelled to visit them all. The abandoned fairground and holiday resort gave me the right chills.
That Ten Most Mysterious Pictures video is deliciously creepy too.

I find the idea of abandoned towns/communities really interesting. Don't believe in ghosts but I do enjoy the stories, and I'd imagine an entire town with no inhabitants is quite eerie.
