 Ladies and Gents of the forum, I am, a ginger.

I have decided to set up this thread for gingers because, people need to understand what it is like growing up in the modern day as a ginge. As gingers, we need a leader, someone to stand up and say enough is enough. We know we're not perfect, but damnit, we're here and we aren't going away*.

So for Boris Becker, Lily Cole, Kenneth Branagh, Julianne Moore, Nicola Roberts off of Girls Aloud, Van Gough Amy Pond and the rest. GINGE'S UNITE.




*except according to science, we actually are, and within two centuries there will be no gingers left. Time to celebrate us during our lifetimes.

 Well he's done the dirty with Billie Piper, proving that ginger hair is no impediment to being a success in life. He also is quite widely listened to on the radio I gather.

 As an ickle girly, I was ginger. Well, on the ginger spectrum. Not strawberry blond, more auburn. Unfortunately as I grew up my hair got darker until it went almost black and I ended up dying it back to being red, various shades of including scarlet.

Now, I'm blonde. Felt it was time for a change.

 I think that ginger people who dye their hair are terrible traitors. But not as bad as people who dye their hair ginger! Those bastards, they get all the cool ginger look, without any of the bullying/sunburn.


My hair has actually darkened, and when I see people I knew when I was young they always say "oh you're hair is more brown now than ginger", as if this should be a great comfort to me. I believe this prejudice is deeply troubling and has no place in society. Also, I went through 16 years of schoolyard bullying because of my hair and now you want to tell me I'm not a real ginge? Get out of here.
