is a great film, with an excellent cast. I don't see a reason to do a remake yet I see no reason why not.
It's a wait and see until production.

It's hardly a remake when it's a depiction of an actual event. Is Titanic a remake of A Night To Remember? Hmm, maybe. Still, I think it's time for another retelling for a new generation. And Towne also wrote Chinatown and The Last Detail remember.

I'll wait and see if anything actually comes of this. So few aviation movies actually get off the ground (pardon the pun).

Though there's a fair few airworthy aircraft that could be used (two Spitfire Mk.Is with a third on the way, two Messerschmitt 109Es, Hurricanes), they'll have to do the majority of it in CGI. It would simply cost too much to bring all the potentially available flyers together for a few weeks' worth of shooting.
