I've been thinking recently about protest action - it's pretty sweet that we have a society where we can agitate for social change by standing outside buildings, singing some bad chants and waving some picket signs.

Fig. 1 - Miles' Thread

So I come to you, the hallowed halls of Off Topic, to start a discussion about protesting.

What is your preferred type of protest?

Fig. 2 - Deviation's 21st, 1989. Pictured - Deviation's mum, an unsuspecting man caught in her path.

What would you protest about if you could?

Fig. 3 - OH SHIT

Does Matty_b's PhD really give him a licence to get rowdy?

Fig. 4 - An hero.

Will this thread involve Sinatra pissing about those damn public sector workers?

Let's find out.

You voted for "Violent Protests" being the type of protests that float your agitating boat. You antisocial monster.

Call me extreme if you like, but I prefer to hit hard and hit fast with a major - and I mean major - leaflet campaign, and while the target is reeling from that I follow up with a whist drive, a car boot sale, some street theatre and possibly even some benefit concerts.

OK? Now, if that's not enough, I'm sorry, it's time for the T-shirts: "Baguettes out" ... "New world order?, No Thanks" ... and if that's not enough, well, I don't know what will be.
