Wow!

Absolutely loved this. Extremely tense, atmospheric, exciting and violent. Definitely go see this when you get a chance.

We had Gateth Evans and Iko Uwais sitting in the seats directly in front of us which was cool. We could see them smirking and laughing at the audience's reaction to certain scenes which was very cool.

Q&A with them afterwards which was good and Gareth Evans seemed to be a really sound chap and a fan of old school, violent action films. He said it's the best feeling in the world, getting a great reaction like that to his film from an audience and he's glad there are more sick and violent minded people like him who enjoy stuff like this.

Great film, go see.

The tweets post showing at the GFF were also really positive. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the showing.

I'm eagerly looking forward to this movie after I saw it praised by various critics whose opinions generally line up with mine. Hope it hits VOD or DVD soon!

Your always so ready to hate, Scott, why?? The film is unreal tho, I reckon we'l be headin straight back in to see it in may. I havnt actually clapped and reacted in so many ways in a movie in my life. Gareth Evans is gonna do great things, what he has lined up next sounds like a giant unending wet dream
:D

Has anyone else seen Merantau? It was probably just OK, with some decent fight scenes.

Haven't seen it - but it sounds like it was basically Edwards film school before moving onto Raid.

I'd have thought that was the film before, although I couldn't find that one anywhere.

According to the film's Twitter feed, it's out in the UK on May 18th.

Less than two months away. Me = excited.

My friend watched it just before we went to see The Raid and he said it wasn't great. Even Gareth Evans at the Q&A we were at said, there's not much going on in it.

I saw it today, great film! I saw someone question the "Redemption" portion of the title and it would be a spoiler to give it away. People also mention the music, which was done by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park (in the U.S. version anyway).
