It's a genius idea though. Take a killer snowman to a tropical island.

American t.v. horror from the early 70s. Described a page back as The Shining meets The Thing. With monkeys. Do you not read my posts?

The Thing - terrific + I love snow

You should watch Cold Prey then for that reason alone!  Or with logic, you probably love Jack Frost!

Have you ever seen A Cold Night's Death? Often described as The Shining meets The Thing. With monkeys.

Shit I missed this!

Sorry!

and the answer is no, but your description of Shinning meets The Thing crossed with Outbreak makes me curious

It's actually really good. It's got that obvious low budget t.v. feel. But it's quite claustrophobic.

Due to a slow Sunday, I've already watched four!

Deep Red-I loved this, it was a bit slow to start and picked up at around the half-hour mark, but from then on it was fantastic. The bit in the old house at night is one of the scariest film moments I've ever seen. Plus I love the soundtrack, it sounds like John Carpenter and Nine Inch Nails having a jamming session.

The Fog-Still awesome.

The Invisible Man-Claude Rains was really good, the effects were hugely impressive, and I liked the escalation to a full-scale manhunt. On the other hand, I didn't really care about the supporting characters, especially that screeching barmaid. Still a good 'un though.

Suspiria (Minor spoilers)-Decent, but I think the film takes a nose-dive in quality the moment witches get mentioned. The last twenty minutes come off as just silly, and ruin a lot of what went before. The visuals and soundtrack are brilliant, but it's not quite as good as Deep Red.

I already own The Exorcist and The Thing, so I thought I might as well start with those.

Probably not the best films to watch when you have a dodgy stomach, but they're both amazing films.

How did Bradley Cooper's AMAZING cameo hold up after all this time? Is it as a shocking and unexpected a moment as when we first all saw that film and felt our mouths hang open as those words flashed across our minds "OMFG! BRADLEY COOPER'S IN THIS FILM!!!!!!!"

We should be excited, I mean The Coop' has been in The Hangover, All About Steve, The A-Team, Case 39, Valentine's Day... can anyone say 'icon'?

Fuck you he's an Adonis in All About Steve

Look at him, he's like a swarthy, handsome Sean Penn.

Also rawlinson likes Wet Hot American Summer so even he is not immune to the charms of the COOP

He actually does indulge in man on man action in that film. Right up PA's alley. So to speak.

The Fly.

SPOILERS

Curiously, it's the second film I've seen today in which someone doesn't want to kill a loved one after a bout of transformation. I actually think it works best as a comedy. It's about as scary as a cupcake, but bloody funny.

I have a definite top 3, with just Hour of the Wolf currently unwatched. But unless rewatches of the others improve greatly, I am really going to struggle making a top 6.

Why does your avatar keep changing?

I do love how everyone else has been "Brilliant round!" and you've been "I can't even make a top six." I haven't even started my rewatches yet and I'm struggling to cut it down to 6.

Magic. Or rather it's linked to a site that randomises from a bunch I uploaded.

When I had to change my nom I actually thought of going for Evil Dead 2, but it seemed like a bit of a whoring for votes nomination, and I don't do that kind of thing.

Lovefilm are on the verge of sending me Suspiria and Deep Red.

I haven't seen any Argento at all, and these are the two nominated films I'm looking forward to seeing the most.

Rewatched My Little Eye. Sadly it hasn't held up very well. The reality t.v. critique is dated. The sudden screaming and jump moments in night vision now just bring Most Haunted to mind, and every single character is a bit of a douche. There's still some effective moments, but it's not as strong a film as I remembered. Sorry, MC.
