It's appreciated when people do watch every film before voting in the public poll, but I think it's realistic to say some people probably don't. So I wouldn't let it hold you back.

I concluded it was unfair on the films I've not seen (not a big horror fan). But got my fingers crossed for The Fly

Some of us would prefer it if you were being unfair to the other films

Sorry TRM. I have to say I also have big love for Carpenter's The Thing and The Invisible Man. I've had the discussion in the past with elab concerning Invisible Man and the truly scary thing about this being the descent into madness and losing your mind. I also think it has some exceptional effects, many of which still stand up today. But at the centre of it is just a phenomenal performance from Claude Rains, you don't get to see him until a few seconds at the end, so I find the way his voice is used to pull you in to that character to be just a great piece of acting.

I really enjoyed TRM's write up of The Fly and I think it really nails the fact that Cronenberg uses the effects so well in what is a character study, again agreeing with it being a great performance by Goldblum and exploring issues at the edge of science and its use.

Its interesting that this round has produced two of the best re-makes of all time.

I voted for The Haunting in the public poll because I thought it wasn't doing well based on the comments in here - I wish I'd voted for Invisible Man now

That's weird, I can't think why.

Did you get my last PM with the results?

Ok, just waiting for votes from two people. If the votes aren't in today, circumstances mean we're going to have to carry on without them.

I have been informed that the last set of results should be in now. Any chance you can take a look Matty/Gimli?
