I thought all DVDs did have subtitles? Weird.

Also, votes sent.

You've never had a subtitleless DVD? I get them all the time. I also seem to get ones with 15 minutes of trailers that can't be forwarded, skipped or in any way circumvented. I miss the good days of VHS

Hm, maybe an old, public domain DVD or a region 1 copy.

The adverts/trailers you can't fastforward through are a definite pain, though.

I'm halfway through watching Hour of the Wolf.

So far I'm rather bored with this, but I'll stick with it.

I was underwhelmed by it, but for what it's worth it picks up the pace and has some pretty damn creepy bits in the second half.

Boy, even at only 85 minutes long Hour of the Wolf is a bit of a slog. Sorry Dev, but for me this is this worst film on the list.

Just Session 9 to go.

Can I get an extension? I won't be able to acquire Session 9 in time for the deadline. Other than that, I've got 3 films left so there shouldn't be a problem.

How long are you asking for Miles? We were originally trying to keep to pretty strict timing on this hof to try and announce the winner on Halloween (sad, I know).

After his success with Ikiru, Rawlinson returns to disappointing nominations, like that one documentary about that Canadian town or something that had so little impact I've actually forgotten everything about it except that it was BORING.

The Haunting - worse than Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

I know it's not as scary as The Sound of Music, but what exactly did you dislike about it?

Oh, for some reason I assumed the deadline would fall on a Sunday. Everybody happy, then.
2nd viewing of Hour of the Wolf, still haven't been able to get through it. Will finish tonight.

It is boring. Not "slow burn". Not "you need to concentrate". Not "suspenseful".

Just boring.

And the beauty of Twitter is that my tweets only get seen by people who have chosen to see them. Seems odd to implicitly complain about it elsewhere...

I don't bother unfollowing anyone, my twitter feed is like the Godfather, once you're in you're in. Also, who said i was complaining? I might enjoy reading that a film is boring over and over and over.
