 We've had Disc Club, we've had Mix Club.  Now what about a swap club?

I'm sure everyone has a disc in their collection that they'd be glad to see the back of.  And if EBay's taught me anything its that one man's meat is another man's poison (and vice versa).  So without further ado, welcome to the Empire DVD Swap Shop!

First up, here's how it works:
  1. If you've got a disc that you want to get rid of, you announce the fact in this thread. Give as many details of the release as possible (e.g. Region, Special edition, no. of discs etc)
  2. Anyone who want's the disc can offer one from their own collection.  If you see anything you like, then contact the person making the offer by PM to swap details.
  3. Once a swap has been agreed, post in the thread to let the others know that the disc is no longer available.

Of course, there'll have to be some ground rules.  So I'd suggest that the swap is restricted to those with 100+ posts only.  It goes without saying that the DVDs should be originals and in good condition.  People abusing the rules will be named and shamed and barred from any future swapping.  I'm not going to suggest that the disc offered should be similar to the original disc - if the person offering 24 Season 1 is happy to accept Love Actually in return, that's up to them.

REMEMBER FOLKS - 100 POSTS NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE!

Disclaimer - this swap shop is not organised by Empire or its affiliates.  Participants are responsible for getting the recipient's details and posting the DVD once a swap has been agreed.

Incidentally, I think you should have another rule - no laughing at the dvds people are offering and obviously spent good money on.  I know I've got a few that I wouldn't want people knowing about unless I was promised a no-laughing amnesty!

 Here's my first item I wish to swap:



This is a R2 4-DVD box set which, in addition to the 3 movies above, also includes several of Polanski's short features.  Box set is in excellent condition, with a retail price at the time of around £40.

 No probs HH - I think it's safe to put you down as an established poster in the circumstances!

I have 2 beauties up for grabs:

See what all the Terrence Mallick fuss is about in one of his best works. No special features unless you count interactive menus like Fox does. Oh and some Melanesian songs


Or how about this tale of business, greed and murder? "Its about the restaurant business", as the tagline goes. Warning: not very good, also a poor transfer. It does have Lachy Hulme in it though, one of the top candidates for The Joker in Batman Begins 2

I've got a copy of Almost Famous (R2, 1 disc theatrical version), and R2 Leon if anyone wants them. There just taking up space, and I have other versions of both so almost any offer will be accepted - assuming I don't have it. Also have 'Swimming Pool' up for grabs.
