I have the admit i was one of the few people out there that enjoyed the first film although it had its flaws but now that G.I. Joe 2 is filming at the moment with a new cast, new writers and a new director, i am pretty damn sure this will surpass the first film.

Heres the info about it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1583421/

Also for people who don't know, Dwayne Johnson who plays Roadblock has confirmed on his twitter that Bruce Willis has officialy joined the cast

Hopefully will be a lot of fun in the same vain as Fast Five!!

The first film delivered on every aspect you'd expect it to. Those who didn't enjoy it must have been expecting somthing else. God knows what. For a film based on a line of toys it was a ton of fun.

Fucking GI Joe is Batman and Robin levels of bad but I am hooked when I have the chance to see it. The ending with Destro and Cobra Commander was fantastic in the most immature and silly way possible but im looking forward to see where that leads to. Wonder if JGL will come back.

Bruce Willis and The Rock- sounds too good to be true- GI Joe will be insane and this casting is all the proof anyone needs!

JGL was gonna return but he got the offer to do The Dark Knight Rises instead, I just got this feeling G.I. Joe 2 is gonna surprise a lot of people and maybe become a huge hit next year plus the awesomeness of The Rock and Bruce Willis in a movie together will attract a lot of interest!!

You've gotta admit even though the 1st 1 was a bit of a flop the makers have gone in & just said FUCK IT! LET'S JUST AMP UP THE STAR POWER & GO FOR IT!
Which I actually kinda admire.

I will certainly be catching this one, the choice of director is frightening, but the script and characters included should be up to scratch. Just give me another popcorn flick, better than the first (although I still liked it) and I'm happy.

It doesn't look quite as good IMO, but it looks very cool nonetheless. Nothing will top the Paris chase from the first movie

So are Dennis Quaid, Brendan Fraser and all the 'Joes' from the first film killed in the opening ambush? Because I was hoping for a return of Said Tamaghouri's Breaker.

Good to see Ray Stevenson in there though!

I never saw the first film but judging by this trailer this looks like a massive pile of crap-ass.

I think it looks a lot better than the first one(which i found to be decent stupid fun) and it looks like there is going to be a lot of real stunts rather than the excessive cgi that Sommers is prone to using.

Sure looks that way. I feared a sequel in name only approach to this would have resulted in it being a bit po-faced, as if forgetting that this is based a toy line and completely missing what made the first one such a lot of fun, and while the opening bit from the trailer did nothing to make those fears go away, that bit where they're dropping Cobra banners from the White House most certainly did; ludicrous in the best possible way.

Is Brendan Fraser in the first one? I don't remember him

Anyway, I like the first one despite its faults. The trailer for this one had me underwhelmed until the last 30 seconds or so, which seemed to pick it up. And Adrienne Palicki is welcome in any film as far as I'm concerned.

She is, but I'd honestly have preferred it if they'd kept Rachel Nichols.

Fraser's in the Pit training sequence in the first one.
