The Duelist 3-disc set.  And what a lovely box it comes in.

The Scarlet Letter 2-Disc SE.  Seems like almost everyone in Korea's going for these foldy-outy things in slipcases now.  And long may they continue to do so.

Intended to spend my 20 dvd.co.uk voucher, but found the films I was after significantly cheaper elsewhere. So I guess I'll save my voucher for something else...

Picked up these:

Plenty in there to feed my Charlene Choi obsession.

Is that the R3 Hong Kong SE of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance?

Most importantly, does the SE have English subs on the extras(including commentaries)? I'm really anxious to know.

Indeed it is. It hasn't arrived yet though, so I can't confirm whether the extras are subtitled. CD-WOW say they are though, and they're usually right about that sort of thing. I'll confirm/deny it when it arrives, providing no-one else does before me.

Could you also confirm whether the SE has both the colour and b/w versions as well (once you get your copy of course).

Thanks.

I just saw this and as a result have ordered Lady Vengeance too! It looks like a great deal - 13.99 on CD Wow, less a 50p Easter code = 13.49!.
Considering it's between 12.99 and 14.99 from most stores for the region 2 release with scant extras, and the relatively dull sleeve.

I had a quick look round the net and "YesAsia", "DDD House" and "DVD Asian" also state that all extras are subtitled, so it's looking very positive!

Cheers!

Just got the rather acclaimed NIGHT WATCH, that Russian Vampire flick meets the Matrix film....

First impressions...pretty cool, if a little confusing.  Watched the excellent dubbed version, but will be viewing the cleverly subtitled theatrical version this weekend, before delivering any final verdict.

Some great films there Gram, glad to see Friend is getting the wider release it deserves.

Last thing I bought was this...

Been intending to see more of Herzog's films since I saw Fitzcarraldo a while back and this 6 disc set for 18 seemed a safe bet.
His 5 films with the manic Klaus Kinski,Aguirre:The Wrath Of God,Nosferatu The Vampyre,Woyzeck,Fitzcarraldo,Cobra Verde and the documentry he made about Kinski,My Best Fiend.
