I got the 6 disc Studio Ghibli collection this morning and I'm wondering if I should buy the 6 disc edition of Infernal Affairs too. (Just got paid ).

the 'infernal affairs' set to go for is the korean one... 6 discs it does have, and the remastered image, and sturdy box. cheap too. dvdfromkorea.com koreandvds.com or yesasia.com

Don't buy the seperate versions, too expensive (YOU'VE BEEN WARNED). This one is cheap and contains the platinum version of Bullet in the Head despite being listed as a 3 disc version! 4 discs 4 £15!

It was a sale at HMV (most of the World Cinema dvds on sale costed £6-9), so I've bought:

Hana Bi (see Heriberto's post)

The Manga in Motion boxset costed £20 (R.R.P. £25). Also, there was some artcards in my copy! Ricki-Oh is just so cheesy, clichéd and silly....it's good! Yet to see the other 2...

Cut snip what?

The run time of the film with no cuts is 98+ mins.

Film to video has a speed up of 4 percent.

4 percent of 98 is 3.

Run time of UK dvd - 95+ mins.

What's cut?

No actual cut scenes that I'm aware of (compared to the R1 edition and the one shown in UK cinemas, which shortened a couple of scenes), but there's still a couple of instances where blood has been digitally removed.

good film, nice drama and performace from choi-min sik. recommend the USA disc for the directors previous film 'no blood, no tears' which is more action-oriented. then check out the trailer for his new film which has appeared online in the last few days...

I also bought Crying Fist recently. I'll probably be listening to Logan's commentary after watching it.

I bought 'Before Night Falls' for only £2.99 from Morrisons. Not sure what its like but it has good write ups on the back cover, and some awards to boot.
