Any MovieCon/Big Screen news in the new issue? My subscription tends to go the scenic route before getting to me.

Whats been the best thing you guys have seen this year so far peeps?

For me, i gotta say The Raid was an absolutely amazing cinema experience. Dont know will anything top that during the summer. There'll be better films I'm sure, but the crowd when i saw The Raid was amazing. Three standing ovations DURING the movie!!!

I've heard nothing but spectacular things about The Raid so it's definitely on my priority list. Top of that list is Prometheus - Ridley Scott returning to the Alien universe can only be a good thing. Chris gave away a little too much when he talked about it on Film 2012 recently. After that it's got to be The Dark Knight Rises. I'm also looking forward to Cabin in the Woods which is out soon. My immediate list of things to see include Into the Abyss and The kid on a bike.

Films I've really enjoyed so far this year include Margin Call, Shame, Coriolanus, The Descendants, The Artist, Young Adult, Carnage and Martha Marcy May Marlene.

How about yourself, what films are you looking forward to?

The Raid is definitely the best film I've seen this year, followed by Cabin and Jump Street.

I;m intrigued by some of the new tech. My local is having quite an upgrade this year. IMAX has been put in so looking forward to TDKR even more though they won't sell me a ticket yet.

I'm intrigued to try a D-Box that they are fitting soon. But I fear they would be a distraction to rows behind

D-Box seats are fine in amusement parks (they are used in Shrek 4D and Terminator 3D in Universal in Florida) but I cant see them ever being used for a full length film.

It would annoy the hell out of me, wondering when the seat was going to move next. Pointless.

No mention at all of Big Screen or a smaller Movie Con! An official yes or no too it actually happening would be nice, and also its location if it does happen this year.

I really dug Cabin in the Woods, 21 Jump Street, Young Adult, Pirates in an Adventure with Scientists and The Muppets. Those are the best things I've seen this year. The worst easily being This Means War.

This Means War should have been a lot of fun with the cast that it had. The Muppets was a joy while 21 Jump Street hit the spot. I wasn't gone on Pirates.

I've been hibernating for the winter but have finally emerged as someone told me the weather improved a couple of week's back. They lied.

Hope everyone's good?

I have a suggestion.

Just to make us happy in the meantime.

How about we pick a Friday, say a fortnight today, we just come on here and recreate Angry Ticket Buying Empire readers?

Recreating the day the forum goes mad due to lack of information and ticket sales issues.

We can even invite the Empire staff to join in.

There are so many films that I'd love to see in a cinema, but haven't yet managed to - the PCC seems to show an awful lot of them, and if I lived nearer London I'd probably be there all the time. So I'd be up for it, certainly.

Nothing in the new issue with the James Bond cover

Still a few months away so lets hope something will happen.

Good issue though so far.

I LOVE this idea! We all just go slightly mental on the forum for four hours, in remembrance.
