Hi everyone, as a thread I posted before stated I will be writing fairly regular reviews on my views of various films well known and lesser known. I hope you enjoy reading them. In this review I will be writing about academy award winning Tstoti The story of a battled hardened south african street thug that ran away from home to the slums only to get involved in gangs, stealing and murder finds a spot of trouble when he accidently steals a baby. This may sound like a ridiculous story plot and even sound fairly humorous but this is a tale that is quite emotional and keeps the audience interested throughout the film. The simplicity of the plot means everyone can enjoy and escape in to the story. The stunning visuals great cinematography drowns out the shoddy acting with lack of detail to how they perform, they seemed to concentrate more on camera angles and the scenery rather than making it realistic. There's not moment when you feel attached to a character which is surely what the aim of the film is. The best acting seemed to be from a dog that gets his back broken and yelps in pain on the floor, this one scene shocks the audience and it's amazing how they got a dog to do that.
