Still seems like a hard sell. How many secret super assassin progammes does one spy agency need? Unless this one is about Blackbriar. Tony Gilroy is a supremely gifted screenwriter, and it'll be interesting to see if he can translate that to directing. Hopefully it'll be alright on the night, but with Ultimatum tying off the franchise I think he has his work cut out for him.

I don't like the way Hollywood latches onto an actor once they've seen them have a little success in one film. I'm not sure if it's Renner's acting style, or his actual personality (it's not just about the scripts or characters he plays), but he's always dislikeable and utterly uncharismatic. I fear my only hope of not seeing him do a Sam Worthington is to hope this film fails dismally. But I really like the rest of the cast!!!!? Oh well, like Bond, I just have to ride out the current wave of films and wait for the replacement come the next reboot.

Loved the first 3 films and thought they were brilliant. Don't know if it will be any good.  But with Renner as the main character every one will be comparing him to Matt Damon

Renner is spread quite thin at the moment, in many similar roles. Second lead in Mission Impossible, Hawkeye in Avengers, another tough-guy in Hansel and Gretel. By the time Bourne Legacy comes out there could be some degree of audience fatigue towards him as an action lead.
