But that was a two minute moment, which he did, just so he could say he did it. They actully weren't going to use him intitally.

 Boys boys boys, let's not quibble. Interesting choices there Darthy. I love Chris Evans but with the coverage he's getting right now, not sure he would be best suited. Also a little too muscular. And more importantly, not geeky enough. Luke is arguably the hardest one to cast of them all. I like Gordon-Levitt. If you wanna lighten his hair, go ahead, but I think he embodies everything that is necessary in Skywalker. Han is a little easier. Just not Ryan Reynolds. Yes, he needs to be handsome and rogueish but human. Fallible even. Gosling isn't handsome enough, but the rest of him would work. I don't know if the look is right but the character that Hartnett can inhabit a la lucky number slevin (when it's payback time) is bang on for Han. He's been criminally underused and underappreciated in my humble opinion. Kunis as Leia could work. She's got the spunk for sure. I also thought Mary Elizabeth Winstead. A little more grace perhaps. I think you have Moff Tarkin spot on, can't improve on that one pal. Obi Wan? Hmmm. I suppose you could use McGregor, but I like the thought of someone totally knew to the role. Especialy as the rest of the cast are gonna be. How about Richard E Grant?
We really could be here all day on this one. And Darth, I wasn't slating your choices in the slightest dude; Star Wars is so personal to all of us we're all gonna have opinons on this one. I would really like to hear you guys' thoughts on my choices and also on who you might like to see in those roles.

Well we all know these movies wont happen.Its just a fun what if? Chris Evans bulked up considerably to play Cap but he could easily slim down again and hes such a good actor that i could see him playing the naive Luke no problem(Heck,his Steve Rogers is so damn wholesome and straight).

Winstead i could see as Leia.I think shes got good acting ability to go with the looks,and could play the high and mighty Episode 4 Leia no problem.

Hartnett i cant see as Han.Hes too much of a douchebag and i dont think he can act.I think Reynolds could do it,i used to not like him but really liked his Hal Jordan.

Richard E Grant as Obi Wan? No i cant see it.He doesnt have the gravitas to play a role like that and iv always found him to be a bit creepy.

 Well, Obi Wan IS a bit creepy. The guys not all there after borrowing lawnmowers from the sand-people for the past coupla decades, hhuhh hughhh. I know Hartnett isn't everyone's cup of tea but he is so much better than we have been led to believe. He just chose the wrong scripts for a bit. But ok, if you think Reynolds (who I actually like in other stuff but can't quite see how his Jal Jordan puts him in the frame for Solo) then we'll cancel each others' choices out. Let's go away and both come back with a new idea for Han, deal?
ps-don't forget Evans' weedy Rogers was computer effects. I want none of that shit for my Star Wars circa 2011. You never said what you thought about Levitt?

As for Posthlewaite.Great actor,but with all respect to the man I think he lacked the good looks to be a proper leading man.Obi wan was a handsome bloke in his day.
