He's just a loveable rogue

If his name ended in Ferdinand he would get away with it, alongside hitting someone in the back of the head and blatantly disrespecting a referee

True and what he has done in and out of the game over the years is probably even worse than Suarez antics on an overall scale.

What I said was true, at least Suarez does his nonsense on the field, Ferdinand is a truly odious cunt and is as bad as Messrs Terry and Barton in my book.

What that clip don't show was the guy did grab suarez by the balls as well but of course that ain't reported in the press over here. Still no excuse for Suarez to punch him but at least show the full story.

It seems the vuvuzela in 2010 has started a trend: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/shortcuts/2013/apr/25/caxirola-2014-brazil-world-cup

Nowhere near as awful and annoying as that crappy plastic horn, but this just seems like an awful, crappy plastic rattle

So, what can we expect in Russia and Qatar?

Yeah, I heard it on Radio 5.
Didn't really sound like anything (certainly not as heinous as the Vuvuzelas) but x 80 thousand I'm sure it'll be quite annoying.
Makes me laugh how they call it the "official instrument" as if we need one every time there's a World Cup
The official instrument should be the fans singing abusive songs at the away end

No idea about Qatar, probably the sound of bags of money being clinked together.

Edit: saw the top post about Suarez being the biggest cunt in the Premiership and thought it was a new post

Four minutes into his record-breaking appearance Robbie Keane scores his 57th international goal!

You do know this achievement was against the Faroe's . Imagine taking a break from MLS and saying "that was an easy game"

Cracking goal from Neymar to open the Confederations Cup. He and Hulk have looked threatening on occasion, but a fairly average game.

EDIT is RTE showing this on a 1 hour delay

It was a cracker from the guy 'who couldn't lace Gareth Bale's boots'.

Though I thought the goal of the day was Isco's lovely finish in the U-21's. He's a heck of a player that lad, and will be central to Real Madrid/Man City when he signs.

Spains U21 side could probably win the World Cup next year.

Brazil were OK last night, Fred is rubbish. If they had a striker that could move and drag defenders out of position to create space for Hulk and Neymar they'd look more threatening. Oscar is the best player is that team though not Neymar. Some good looking games tonight too. Love me some summer football.

And Pirlo.

Is it wrong of me watching the Confed Cup to start thinking its not so bad if England don't qualify for the WC as I can concentrate on watching the game instead of getting frustrated with their ineptitude and inevitably fucked off when the crash out.

Very much enjoying the way Italy are passing the ball around.

Its how we all feel really. I fully expect to be watching Tahiti tomorrow and at some point start thinking "It's just like watching England".

I'm sure he got some favourable mentions in the CL thread. He's great quality and I really hope he comes to the PL cos I want to watch more of him. At least Pelligrini will play a talented smaller midfielder in the middle where he belongs, than out on the wing or as rumours have it try to get rid of them altogether (http://www.independent.ie/sport/juan-mata-ignoring-reports-that-mourinho-wants-him-out-29347433.html)
