Football Ramble podcast said there were reports of him driving round in an open top car on Monday, high-fiving City fans. I don't care if it's true it should be. Legend!

That made me smile too, and I'm a United fan.

As he's no longer organising Citeh's xmas party, maybe he could help plan one for me. I'd be scared and excited.

He may be even more fun for secret santa (again unconfirmed, but such is Mario's brilliance that it cannot be fully ruled out) http://www.joe.ie/football/football-news/yet-another-cracking-mario-balotelli-story-0017028-1

“I've just heard a Mario Balotelli story that betters Tesco & the fireworks...OK, so his mum's over from Italy, asks the cleaner if she has everything she needs. “Cleaner: ‘No, I need all the practical things - iron etc.’ “Mario's mum: ‘Where can we go to buy these things? Write me a list and we'll go and buy it all’ Cleaner: ‘John Lewis.’ “So Mario's ma sends him & his mates to John Lewis with a shopping list in hand...Mario returns to the house 5 hrs later...empty-handed. “Cleaner: ‘Er, where's the iron, iron-board etc?’ “Then a big John Lewis van arrives...van contains nothing from the shopping list bt (sic) the following 'practical items': - giant trampoline, Scalextric, 2 Vespas, table tennis set'.

FourFourTwo magazine have a feature this month on Super Mario based on the rumour that he's apparently organising Citeh's Christmas bash. Dart throwing and mass confusion of bib wearing throughout!

For all the bad things and claims of unkept arrogance said about Balotelli, a real noble moment of sportsmanship from the man himself tonight as he shook the hand of Daniel Sturridge following his substitution in the game between Chelsea and Man City with a nod of admiration for Sturridge's performance tonight.

We don't see that very often from players in the premiership.

has there been any confirmation about Mario dressing up as Santa and handing out money around Manchester?

Ah just seen it's a load of olde bollocks. That's a shame.

People keep having a pop at Defoe for that miss, but IMO the person at fault was Bale. Almost straight away he could have played the ball behind the defender straight into Defoe's path, instead he chooses to try and beat the man and plays a rather ambitious ball when you consider Defoe's about 3 feet tall.
