I don't Thatcher's the sort of person that we need to be lionizing given her appalling record on human rights, no doubt that'll all be glossed over.

 Her human rights record is only one of her problems, frankly.

As for being glossed over? Probably, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that her family don't agree with her portrayal in the script - not that that means much.

No, I'm just a northerner who watched the woman systematically shut anywhere past a London postcode down and let it die along with every industrial heartland in the north of the country.
 
You had to live within it to know the pain she caused during the 1980's in the north.

 I imagine Streep will be good in this but will not be watching it. Hopefully it is not a whitewash and shows a machiavellian individual encouraging class divide and greed and not some behind the scenes lovely lady who only wanted the best for all.

 Yeh hopefully this is going to as a realistic as artistically possible  I wasn't born in the eighties but they talk to her as though she is a queen or something (or is that the point?)...
