Love it. The images do the job they are there for, although another one with a closer look at the Dwarves would have been appreciated maybe?

Boring? Maybe. But not to someone who has been waiting to see this film made a reality since before Fellowship was released, the epic sweeping landscapes and monsters will come in time, give 'em a chance. This perfectly captures the Hobbit hole/unexpected party so far.

Oh and frankly I hope he makes four hour + extended editions. These films are an exception to any previous rule.

Bland and boring how? It's not supposed to have strobe lights or disco balls - it's The Hobbit. I think the images look great, exactly how I imagined it when reading the book.

What insane Photoshop effect have they applied to Martin Freeman, he looks really weird.

On a more positive note, I am utterly psyched for this. I never, ever bother following the whole 'new stills' thing in regard to an upcoming film, but I am lapping up every one of these. Fond memories of the build up to LOTR...

Was glad when they cast Martin Freeman. Still glad as I see these teaser images. Worried for a bit that they might turn Bilbo into yet another Teeny Bopper Cutey, so that The Hobbit would get buried in Twilight levels of eye candy. Might sound weird... but huzzah for wrinkles!
