Is this a f*cking joke?
This is disgracefull, especially what has happened this season with regards to Boltons Muamba and the unfortunate death of Livorno's Morosini.

Edit: City have apologised to United.

I don't see the big deal myself. He's not really dead, no-one really wishes him dead, and does anyone think something as inconsequential as a banner is likely to distress hard-as-nails Fergie? But because he's 70 all the outrage seems to be based on the idea that this delicate old dear needs protecting from such insensitivity - which is just a touch patroinising towards people of a certain vintage. Remember this is a man who's been getting abuse from crowds for years.
And anyway, I'd hazard a guess that 'Fergie RIP' was actually a reference to his infamous comment a few years ago that City would never usurp Man U in his lifetime.

Its hardly like he walked away from a club that has a good tradition of giving the manager a chance, finished in 8th in 2011 and around the same this season (actually 9th, but they did get 3 more points than in 2011 for that place)

Agreed. I think it was more a direct reference to RIP Fergie Legacy rather than anything to do with actually wishing death upon the man, Tevez may be an idiot for holding up this sign but I don't think he's that stupid. It was about City joining the elite that have won the EPL title.

But no-one dares smite Fergie do they? A little tidbit from Sunday that did make me laugh, watching the full time whistle go at Sunderland as it hit three minutes Fergie looked at his watch, turned to the fourth official, said that's it and the referee blew a full second later. Must do as Fergie says.

I forgot about these two, especially De Jong who (presumably still on a high from assaulting several spanish players) tried his very best to end Ben Arfa's career in 2010.

No, he walked away from a club that expected him to utilize his coaching nous in order to maintain the status quo, because they couldn't sanction a handsome transfer kitty. How very dare they. The shear gall. So he leaves spouting some shit about being young and ambitious.

This all coincidently coincides with rumours about getting the Villa job, and a possible No2 role at Chelsea. And i'm sure the fact that that Kia bloke is his adviser had nothing to do with this 'ambition' nonsense.

Ambition in this instance is been used somewhat euphemistically. After his first round of talks with QPR he walked into press huddle, and spouted some toss about them matching his ambition. He's given 10mil to spend and 1mil bonus. Ambition = Greed.

Great Season.

Mental scorelines
Fellaini now smiles, and speaks English (kind of)
Liverpool's PR
Liverpool fans '2 cups and 4th will still be a good season'
Terry Connor's permanently perplexed countenance
Ambitious Mark Hughes taking over QPR when they were 17th, spending 10,000,000, and finishing...17th
Liam Gallagher been only marginally taller than Maradona.
Swansea and their apparent great passing game. If passing the ball between yourselves in your own half and going nowhere is great then er...great. And if you do eventually make into the opposition's half, most likely due to the fact that the opposition has fallen asleep, you then just revert to kick and rush like all the other teams.
Alan Green moaning about Chinese journalists.
The way the players came together to show their collective respect to Muamba. And then promptly went back to trying cheat their way to points, goals, corners, freekicks, etc etc. Amazing respect for your fellow professionals.
And Barton, the thinking woman's pikelet.

West Ham fans gave me the biggest laugh. Bless 'em.

didnt watch many swansea games at home then see the arsenal game where they did nothing like what you described

I hope for Villa's sake they look beyond the usual suspects (Bruce, McCarthy etc). They've just got rid of one manager who came to them with a dismal record why take a risk on another?

The cull of weegie managers continues...

Kean (relegated)
Coyle (relegated)
McLeish (sacked)
Dalglish (left)

Surely Lambert, Moyes and Fergie will survive.

None of the promoted sides will have weegie gaffers.

Will any of the managerless pluck a weegie from obscurity and begin the repopulation? Mackay at Cardiff? Surely McLeish won't get another gig. Coyle has form when it comes to ship jumping, would anyone fancy him? Surely not. Steve Clarke and Eric Black are near enough weegies will either of them fancy a "top job"? Unlikely.

Surely none of the managerless clubs will be desperate enough to try an English manager...

Totally. It was a joke. And one which was a riposte to something Fergie said three years ago. And as far as insensitive or offensive goes, do me a favour - you see and hear far worse at every ground in the country. It's part of the game.
I know Sky and people who call football a 'global' sport like to think that it's this cosy game that you watch on telly where fans, players and managers respect one another and no-one speaks out of turn but come on, everyone who goes to matches knows that mutual dislike and gloating is a huge part of supporting your team. And I can't think of a better reason to gloat than winning the title for the first time in 40-odd years while pipping your far more successful and hugely disliked rivals in the process.
Far, far worse in my eyes are the whingeing Man U fans who retorted by putting Tevez's address and postcode online.
