Benedict Cumberbatch is a fantastic actor- watch Sherlock and Amazing Grace to see my justification for this. These films are going to own! :-)

British baddy cliché strikes again! Though it is awesome news, as he is awesome...and I hear all the dirty girls like him...

Not a British baddie cliche Gazme- all the character's in Middle Earth seem to speak with English accents. So, yeah, that's all the baddies...but all the goodies too. Frankly it makes me feel patriotic having Smaug as a fellow Brit anyway lol

Smaug had Ian McShane's name all over it. Never mind.

Woohoo for Benedict! As long as this doesn't interfere with the new Sherlock series I'm all for it :D I mean...come on. How much longer are they going to tease us with that cliffhanger! (my bet is a dive in the pool saves the day).

There still seems to be a little apprehansion around Benedict Cumberbatch still as an actor and dont worry. He is truly one of the most promising, talented british actors at the moment. I am thrilled at his casting in the movies and seeing him in films by Spielberg and Jackson its really gonna boost his status which he deserves. And C'MON! We're going to experiance John Watson as a hobbit face up to the Sherlock dragon...wonder how that turn out with the frankly obvious attraction there. but seriously, im so thrilled...weldone Martin and Benedict!
