Do not buy this game...if you want a life. I just spent 2 hours playing the one track to shave a few miliseconds off my time and get top spot. Screw you Sewage plant.

Tell me about it. I was up till 3:30am trying to beat yours and Geest's times. The Phoenix is a bouncy bastard of a bike .

The Geest? Pffft! He ain't all that.

I think I'm just going to concentrate on finishing them all now and go back later. I spend too much time on the same tracks trying to beat times.

Is the multiplayer broken? I couldn't find a game this morning.

You need to go back anyway for platinum medals once you unlock them. I'm just biding my time. Just slipstreaming some of you lads waiting for the right time to overtake...

Some of the easy tracks on platinum are so tough

Nothing makes me want to break my control pad quite like this game. I was stuck in limbo for ages, finally got through it.

Multiplayer is brilliant. Can't beat diving off your bike over the line ahead of your friends.

Never played the first and started this earlier. Only played two tracks and I can tell this game is going to be the end of me!

Likewise. I downloaded the demo yesterday and spent and hour and a half (an hour and a half!) on the rollercoaster track alone.

Needless to say, it's getting bought.

I think I've already put about 6 hours into the single player and maybe 3 or 4 into the multi since Friday night so it's definitely worth a purchase I think.

It's seriosuly infuriating though. The slightest bit wrong with your angle or speed and you can mess up a great run.

Rollercoaster is my bitch though, love it.

It's an easy enough track though, just good fun. Once there are no bunny hops I'm sorted. It's hilarious on the hard tracks in multiplayer seeing your friends struggling along side you to get over a small jump.

I think Kata has gold on them already. Not a chance of me getting through without a fault.

I've made a fault on a couple and I still got gold so it seems you can still make at least one mistake to get gold

I bet you'd be surprised, once you learn the tracks and the required techniques, you'll be flying through them!

I've spent a lot of time in the track editor, it's pretty deep. Gonna finish the track I'm cooking and get back to smashing times...

I'm having trouble doing the Dark City Run track on the Flatliner section. To says its doing my head in would be an understatement

EDIT: Done it now. I think I'll give it a while before I try that one again

I had a few quick goes on Gigatrack or whatever it's called, the mutant long one. It sent me to bed a little sad and angry.

Anyone here managed it without faulting? If there's no achievement for it, there bloody well should be.

Spent over an hour last night on Sewage plant trying to get a plat. Gave up, the amount of luck involved makes it folly. Refuse to go back there now until I'm completely done with everything else.

Got quite a few platinums last night.

You unlock Platinum medals after finishing all the tracks but extreme I think.

Actually I think it's just when you get 135 medals (which gets you the Trials trophy etc), spread across all the events, even the mini-games etc.

I've managed gold on pretty much everything except the last group of Hard tracks and the Gigatrack now, sadly I think that's as far as my patience can carry me. I love the game, I really do, but I can't justify the near psychotic mood swings some of the harder tracks are inducing, my girlfriend has already threatened me with extinction if she hears me scream 'C**t!' at the TV again.

Not sure I should even attempt the Platinum medals, someone will get hurt.

This is game is as absolutely Love / Hate as Trials has always been....

Rather than breaking pads or consoles, I've developed a technique whereas if I'm going for gold and I get the bike stuck, I just full throttle (sometimes varying the pressure for soothing sound effects) and rock back and forwards while in a fixed stare murmuring "fuck" in a repetitive manner.... once I feel like I'm in control again, I'll hit the 'back' button and try again! ...If I wipeout, fuck it! Pad + TV = Relief followed by pretty instant regret

Cracking game though
