It's not that bad, but it's very much the odd one out. Aside from the drift racing aspect, it's got little in common with the rest of the series - other than the cameo appearance by Vin Diesel, of course.

Anyone else think Lin regretted killing of Han in Tokyo Drift and that is why every film since then has been a prequel? . I mean sure the actor and Lin could be buddies and he likes having him around but I'd like to move things on and get Lucas Black back into the fold. Ah well at least Letty is back!

I hope their's still a chance of Lucas Black returning in Fast Six, maybe half of the movie will still be set before Tokyo Drift and the other half of the movie after Tokyo Drift.

Glad u enjoyed watching the film

I really hope Fast Six gets a proper decent villain. maybe someone British like Mark Strong, Iris Elba, Jason Statham or maybe they will go for an American like Josh Brolin, Jamie Foxx, Edward Norton or maybe a long shot, Matt Damon!

Oh god no.They should just forget that Tokyo Drift happened. That film was abysmal. The rest of them are fun though.I unfortunately missed out on seeing Fast Five at the cinema but look forward to seeing it soon.

Im a bit wary about ''extended'' editions of films on dvd/blu ray.Often they are just marketing gimmicks and do not make the films any better(Often it makes them not so good like the extended version of The A Team).I havnt seen Fast Five yet but will be watching the theatrical cut when it comes out on disc next week.

Fast Five was the best of the series and after ditching the CG awfulness of the fourth film for real stunt work, I am now not against Justin Lin reportedly giving us a new Terminator film. Or Highlander. Or a film about the 442nd Japanese-American units during WWII. Or any of the other dozens of projects he's attached to.

well i dunno about a review, but i loved the movie. Thought it was great. i cant believe shit like Captain America even gets a look in when Fast Five delivers staggering action scenes. Justin Lin is the man.

Don't worry DK,I'm sure in a few months you will say something on the lines of "Oh my gosh! I hated Captain America when I saw it in the cinema but now I love it because I just watched it on BLU RAY! It's looks and sounds INCREDIBLE!!!!!"

So unrealistic. Noway The Rock would loose to Vin Diesel ever!

Actually I loved it. All of it. Its weird as the fourth was really bad, but this was badass.

I think the Fast Furious franchise has set a precedence for the most amount of law enforcement agents who are effortlessly 'turned'

And how much do the makers regret killing Han now i wonder. I guess it must've been Justin Lin who lobbyed for him to show up in part 4 and he fits well in the team, so it looks like the creative team dont want to let his character go. I always thought that in part 4 they should've revealed that he didnt die in Tokyo Drift (via a flashback or something). If i remember correctly, you dont actually see a body, just the crash. Now every fast movie has to be set before tokyo drift just to maintain the commentary. I guess that makes Drift a sci fi, set in the future!

Did anyone else think that in part 5 they should've written it into the story that the villains safe was on wheels or something. It would help make the end chase that bit more credible. I mean the guy was moving his money around etc, i think they could write in a contrivance that he had a big safe on wheels or something. Just so it would make it more believable that those two cars could drag it. Also, i think it would've been better if Diesel and Walker were driving more beefed up vehicles. Like the armored truck for example. That would've made it more believable that they could pull that safe. I know i'm not supposed to dissect the logic too much in these movies, but i think these ammendments would be simple changes that would help create a greater sense of credibility.

First one was a remake of Point Break, never saw the second and the third, the fourth was ok but ruined by an excess of CGI-augmented action, but the fifth.... the fifth was AWESOME!

As a rule, I only watch the ones with Vin.

That scene when Vin and The Rock grasped arms... I thought the screen would explode with manliness.

I appreciate what you say about only watching the ones with Vin, but i think 2 and 3 are definitely worth a look. They both work well as standalone stories, also as introductions to the characters played by Ludacris, tyrese and the character of Han.
