The only game I got as a present this year was Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7. Still not started it yet, but I can't wait!

Started playing Harry Potter Years 1-4 recently and I'm really enjoying it. Few minor niggles, its rather slow at unlocking different characters (I have loads of students who all have the same abilities and not much else) and I hate the way that as you unlock more spells you;re forced to wait for them to switch through until you can select them. Just finished PoA and I think thats the weakest of the films so far. A lot of the levels felt forced, kinda like the creators didn't really know what to do with the scenes from the film but PS and CoS were both great fun. Looking forward to starting GoF tomorrow after work. At this rate I can see myself picking up Years 5-7 on Monday.

I saw DC Lego too! Actually, it might have been an Empire competition....it was just Batman characters, but it was proper Lego sets (whereas so far I think there was just the Lego Batman game?) but I'd love them to do other characters too.

True although I'd be surprised if the plot of the Avengers film didn't feature heavily at some point. The rest could be padded out easily with an original storyline, or even a few storylines form the comics I guess. Anyway it's not even announced yet so no point getting excited.

Has there been an announcement regarding a LOTR game yet?

I'm confused by the Marvel Lego, I thought it was Mega Bloks that had exclusive rights to Marvel. I've been collecting the Marvel mega bloks characters for awhile now (my missus collects the Halo ones). BTW have we got a release date on Lego Batman 2 yet?

Anyone who has played Harry Potter 1-4 know of any glitches? I've just finished the forbidden forest level and am following the ghost through Hogwarts and also following Quirrell but he stops in a doorway the arrow is telling me to go through and won't let me past. It's driving me crazy.....

There's quite a few. I was at something like 97.8% and it glitched so I couldn't get my last Student in Peril.

Total nerd rage.

Because I couldn't get the last Student In Peril (which had glitched), I couldn't get the last gold block, because I couldn't get the last gold block, I couldn't unlock all the characters! No way around it other than to play the entire thing again from scratch - no thank you!

I didn't have any glitches either. Are you both playing on the 360? I've read about there being glitches in the PS3 and DS versions.

360 for me - the glitches are common on all systems.

Reading through that and some of the linked material it looks like mine has glitched because I've been playing co-op/multiplayer. That's utter bollocks as far as I'm concerned, half tempted to ask for my money back as the only reason I'm playing it is for the little one.

I'm not sure wether to start again (as I'm really not that far in yet) or just leave it and put it down to a bad job because I'd be unbelievably pissed off if it glitched again.

At least you didn't get all the way to the end and it fucked up like mine!

Anyways, I was playing it all on co-op with my daughter aswell and it really does put you off playing any other Lego games. I have POTC and Indy 2 lying around and we still need to finish Star Wars 3.
