I heard about this story too. Unfortunately the search was called off after detectives discovered that Paul Gleason (AKA Principal Vernon) has been dead for over 2 years. This makes me sad.

Gotham City is a real place, it's located just off the A1 by Stamford.  If you get to Peterborough, you've gone too far.
.

That's the only time Batman will ever be connected with the most loathsome place in the country that isn't Milton Keynes. Stamford, twinned with Vallhallah.

Hugh Jackman actually died during the making of The Prestige. Luckily, they had about 50 clones of him waiting to take his place. No-one has noticed.

The Petrelli family of the hit TV show Heroes is actually based on the Afflecks.

Edward Furlong was declared a fugitive after he accidentally killed Joe Morton on T2.  He was planning an elaborate prank involving green peppers and a VHS of that Star Trek where Kirk snogs Liz Taylor, when Morton got wise.  He left his trailer, only for him to slip on the tape, crash headlong into a pane of glass and become unconscious.  He was then trampled by James Cameron, who used his mob connections to frame Furlong.  Furlong is now eking out a living as a gun runner in Nicaragua.

Tony Scott eats the heart of his editors to take their courage.

30 Days of Night is a documentary.  Melissa George is the head of a team of Hollywood Vampire Hunters, including Ryan reynolds and, ironically, Lance Henriksen.  If you see Ben Foster of Josh Hartnett, contact them on 1-900-MONSTERSQUAD.

Peter Jackson is to turn 'Alberto Frog and his Orchestra' into a six-movie CGI spectacular.

Everything in the 'Star Wars' movies actually happened 300 thousand years ago, except the human-looking characters were all Neimodians.

Bruce Willis has had to continue to provide the voice and thoughts of the 'Look Who's Talking' baby actor, Alan Neilsen, throughout his adolescence and soon adulthood.

All of 'Cloverfield' was real footage, released as a film.

Sid Little provided the voices and motion-capture work for the non-lead actors in 'What Happens in Vegas'

Paul Hogan is to play the lead in the sequel to 'Priscilla: Queen of the Desert' (okay, that might actually be true...)

  • Jake Gyllenhaal is actually Aramaic for 'dovetail joint'.
  • John Wayne never licked his own postage stamps through fear of something his agent described as 'irreversible adhesion'.
  • Brad Pitt changed his name as he believes all actors named after body parts will have a long and fruitful career. Cricketer Graham Gooch's embarrassing foray into acting in the late 1980s would seem to discredit this claim.
  • Michael Keaton genuinely cannot turn his head from side to side. A fact he kept quiet for his Batman audition, automatically giving him an advantage over all the other applicants including George Clooney and pop stars Paul McCartney and David Gray whose 'floppy head' routines won them no favours with the casting director.

jude law believes he is part of a reality show and the crew are filiming everything he does, he tried desperately to get footage of him shooting and killing tom hanks. the only way he could get the crew away from the camera was to pretend he was killed by hanks son.
he has recently been seen in liverpool with robert downey junior looking for a job with the city council as a street cleaner in liverpool one

After leaving Doctor Who, Christopher Eccleston decided to go into business for himself. His rise to power can be seen in the smash hit documentary G.I.Joe.

Tom Hanks, bitterly disappointed at the world for the underperformance of his son's movie Orange County, starred in The Polar Express, The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons as a form of revenge.

A hidden subplot of Once was recut, reshot and released as Paranormal Activity.

The Room truly is a masterpiece of Brechtian cinema, and Tommy Wiseau is the greatest auteur since Truffaut.

Kurt Russell once ruled Zimbabwe. He was unaware of this though.

The Dinosaur Project was genuinely a true story but in order to pretend otherwise, they put crappy CG dinos over the footage of the real ones. It is actually a true story masquerading as a fake found footage movie pretending to be a true story.....

Mike Myers sometimes is but often isn't. However he never was.

Everytime you buy a cinema ticket, 14.2% of the cost goes straight to Nathan Fillion.

It just does, OK?

Some of those "found footage" movies are in fact genuinely made with actual footage of real events, but nobody knows which ones.

Van Damme was offered the lead role in (500) days of summer but turned it down as it conflicted with his schedule playing all the apes in the new planet of the apes movie
