It could work one day. Joss Whedon really rates her and has even appeared on Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell is a bona fide geek and isn't under contract to any franchises/shows. If there was ever anyone to play Buffy Summers it's Kristen Bell.

Kirsten as Buffy would rock, I genuinely felt sad watching the last episode of Veronica Mars, I wanted more dammit. She was also good on Heroes but her character was wasted in the storyline, except for the great episode where they all lose their powers.

The problem with the ending of Veronic Mars was that there was no real ending to the show. Thats why warners should makr the movie that both Kristen and creator Rob Thomas want to make but they don't think it would make money which is dumb since all they want to do is remake movies The Bodyguard the world does not need a remake of that has it was bad the first time.

I should say that I have got Fanboys and have to say its a enjoyable three star film coming from a Star Trek fan thats like Star wars as well. Well the original Trilogy anyway and some parts of Episode 1. Episode 3 was decent.
She did give a good performances as well.

Joss Whedon should remake Buffy with her in the lead role.

He can't, he doesn't have the rights.

He doesn't need them. The money is always there for a Buffy reboot starring Kristen Bell. Especially in this age where everywhere is obsessed with vampires.

Well, no, he kind of does if he wants to make tv show or a movie. Then there's the small matter of who will show it (if its a tv show) or distribute it (if it's a movie). You can't just say 'make it' and it'll be made, Vad3r.

If FOX owns the rights then why does Whedon need them? FOX will employ him to make it as there's obviously money in it. Whedon gets paid and does his thing, job done.

Warner Bros. currently own the rights, they optioned them from Fran Kuzui the director of the original film. There is a film reboot  in development without Whedon's participation. In fact, word is, Whedon was offered the chance to write a script but he declined. He is not needed as long as someone else has the rights and there is an audience.

The film reboot is a terrible idea. No doubt It's a complete cash in and will be made by a no name studio hack that will take orders and turn it into Twilight. Buffy's place is in the small screen with Whedon at the helm.

It will probably turn out like the 1992 Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I havent brought myself to watch any of her movies because most of them look bad, like Forgetting Sarah Marshall or Couple's Retreat, although Fanboys and You Again look decent.

You Again is an Excellent film with a great performance where at times her performance reminded of Veronica Mars.
Couples Retreat, Fanboys and When in Rome are quite good as well. Anyone seen her turn in Scream 4 ?.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is IMO the best romantic comedy ever. It's written by Jason Segal (HIMYM).

At least he wasn't bothered about getting it out. It made sense in the scene and he went with it. Anyway, it was played for poignancy not crude humour.
