Fringe just gets better if you ask me, hope it stays on for a good few years yet, and I think we all know Season 3 of Buffy is the best.

Second best.

I posted this in the "This show starts when?" thread but had no luck so I'll try in here instead where I think I'll be more likely to get an answer:

A new improv show by Drew Carey that features most of the Whose Line Is It Anyway? US performers started a few weeks ago called Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza and I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is coming to the UK anytime soon?

I never really watched Buffy to be honest but Supernatural and Fringe are probably my two favourite shows currently being shown now Lost has finished. They both just keep getting better and better although I haven't seen any of Supernatural Season 6 (waiting for Living to show it). They are also probably the two most underated shows on TV...

I doubt that any channel here will show it anytime soon, although I can see a channel like 5USA or Challenge picking it up in the future.

Season 2 of Buffy is the best season of anything ever.  I prefer season 3 of Supernatural to season 4.  As for season one - whether they were ripping off or parodying horror films it was 'mostly lame.  I think it's started to go down hill tbh (a case of going on too long.) I don't find it has rewatch potential like most shows I watch.

Fringe - yes they've always had monster of the week episodes but they're not as interesting as the season arc (s3)

I agree season 3 of Supernatural is the best, it's only 16 episodes long but each one is awesome, love the Groundhog Day and the Assault on Precinct 13 themed episodes.

The current renew/cancel state of affairs regarding shows on US TV. This does not include cable shows but it does include a lot we've mentioned in this thread- http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/05/01/bubble-watch-chuck-v-law-nikita-on-the-bubble/91087

Do you watch Fringe Jedi? It's the best Sci-Fi show on TV and WAY better than Warehouse 13. It's produced by JJ Abrams/Lost people and is similar to The X-Files.

I've not seen it yet but I have bought series 1 on DVD as it was cheap to watch soon. I hear it takes a while to get going but is good.

It does improve with each episode/season. It would also be wise to invest in the Blu Rays as it's a show that looks stunning and greatly benefits being in HD.

Inevitable, but a shame. David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel deserve better than a procedural.

Ah, well, they're getting paid. And a lot, by the sounds of things.

And there is nothing wrong with a good procedural (though not all  procedurals are good)

Is this the thread for upcoming pilots?

If so, here is an interesting look at the eight best pilot scripts.

I watched 10 episodes of season 1 of this show but gave up as the procedural element made it too boring, although the chemistry between the two leads was good.

I'd be shocked (SHOCKED!) if that title sticks!

Other stuff here about what's actually likely to make it to air at this stage:
http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/primetime-pilot-panic-2nd-hot-list/#more-127168

Maybe it's just me, but things seem a bit more transparent this year in terms of development at this stage; normally the buzz starts once the pilots have been picked up, or maybe it's just odd that some of the more high concept stuff that stands out may not make it to full series, which isn't usually the case.

Quite surpised that Alacatraz is on the slide, I wonder if that's anything to do with budget and the cost of that show added to Terra Nova (which, I dunno, seems like a dead show walking given all of the delays) making Fox a bit nervy. Barefoot Doc's link makes Touch sound a ton better than it did previously...then I see Tim Kring's name attached and the warning alarm goes off.

REM (a big hello to Jason Isaacs) is easily the one I think stands the best chance of balancing the "being good" with "being succesful".

Yeah have to agree REM sounds good, despite the meaningless name. Locke and Key also sounds promising. Definitely giving Ringer a miss though.... Sarah Michelle Gellar *shudder*.

Oddly enough the one that really peaks my interest is The Secret Circle, was always curious about Alcatraz so sad to hear that's not a lock.

Any word on when Supernatural returns to Living? A solid date wold be nice. I hate you, Living.

Unfortunately no official date yet, but its gonna be sometime in June, so we'll just have to wait and see.

God it's ridiculous. This situation has permanently pushed the show back for us. I don't know what TV bosses expect - no doubt this has driven some people to illegally download/stream, and it's the TV bosses who lose out in the end.

Still, you're doing better then those of us who used to lost the show when it went from ITV!

It will most likely be when I move house and likely lose Sky for a week during the move so I'll miss the first episode

Not sure if this has already been linked, but EW.com has posted an interesting article talking about what shows may or may not be picked up next season. I'm going to be so angry if Alcatraz and 17th Precinct aren't picked up.

I really liked the sound of Alcatraz so I hope they go ahead with it. I've started a thread for it so it has to happen
