Been a while since I listened to this one. There's some nice music for the Yule Ball/romances and I love The Hogwarts March and the Hogwarts Hymn. Nothing quite as memorable as anything from the three Williams scores though, the action scenes especially.

 My favorite one's that i listen to the most are

1. Final fantasy VII Advent Children
just for the rocking battle music and the sephiroth and aerith themes respectively
2. Harry potter and the order of the phoenix
for the hall prophecy music and the great fireworks theme music for the weasley twins scene
3. Star wars revenge of the sith
for the anakin vs obi wan music that is really good to listen to.
4.The firefly/serenity soundtrack
5. Aliens soundtrack
6. Predators
7. Avatar
8. The Lord of the rings
9.Trigun

I think that's about it.

A step up from Goblet of Fire. Some great new music here for Dumbledore's Army and the Ministry scenes, but very little use of the themes Williams created.

 He's no john williams, but i though nicholas cooper did a great job with the soundtrack making the film's music slightly darker.

Not as good as Hooper's Phoenix score, but some great stuff as we near the finale. In Noctem is also excellent, a highlight from the entire series.

I like Desplat's music a lot and this score worked well in the film, but the album by itself is a bit of a chore. It's the first time I've heard it, three time on a loop tonight, and there's little I can recall of it. A few good tracks and a few memorable moments in others. The music itself is good, but everything's become so sombre and tense now, it's lost that magic touch that the Williams scores had. But when it works well, it's excellent. Obliviate, The Sky Battle,. Minsitry of Magic. And the song that appears as a bonus track, My Love is Always Here is incredibly lovely, but it seems to have no reference in the main body of music.

A great score to round off the series. The new theme for the defence of the castle is superb. I've read s few comments that say that this score makes use of the second part of John Williams' Hedwig theme, but I can't hear it anywhere. Shame, as it's a great piece of music that hasn't been used enough in the series.

 Every time I hear the 20th Century Fox fanfare, I expect the Star Wars theme to follow. It doesn't sound right otherwise.

I have that theme too and it is very good, but the two best tv theme songs imo are from The Professionals and The Littlest Hobo

 I have Zulu there as well as a big collection on John Barry scores. Some of his stuff was a tad 'samey' but when he was on form he was superb; and his orchestration was so full and rich.
