One of my faves, I listen to this once every few weeks, with the last three pieces being particular faves.

It is a great score and this edition is much better then the first edition.

I like this very much! Love the Zimmer pieces for Holmes and Pirates the LOTR choices are perfect - Breaking Of the Fellowship almost always makes me want to cry

Still can't resist the inception soundtrack, looking forward to what Zimmer will do with the Dark Knight Rises.

It's very good, one of his best in a while. There are very few Elfman scores I don't like though.

Same here, I do like his work but since Dark Shadows is a 'gothic' type thing, I wasn't sure about the score in case it was a matter of 'heard it before'. I don't think I've loved one of his scores since The Kingdom back in 2007. 'Waiting' is one of my fave pieces of score from him ever. It was even used in Rango (well, technically it was 'Finale' from The Kingdom that was in Rango but the basic theme of the track is 'Waiting').

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Elfman will score Oz The Great And Powerful for Sam Raimi. Good to see those two have made up

Stuck this masterpiece on again this morning. "The Buffalo Hunt" makes me feel like I'm going to get up and do something incredible productive with the bank holiday weekend.

I've been listening to a few tracks from Prometheus. As expected ever since Marc Streitenfeld was announced as the composer, it's bland and forgettable apart from a very nice theme courtesy of Harry Gregson-Williams and a quote from Goldsmith's Alien score.

Shockingly I've never heard this before. 10 hours of music condensed into just under two, so it's generally the best bits (not that there are any worst bits when it comes to LOTR music!). As such it can't match the majesty of the full scores, but hearing the music live is a great experience.

That has some of my favourite music from the entire show. Storming New Caprica & Violence and Variations are magnificent.

Notice how its being constantly ripped off now? I've seen a fair number of adverts (car ads etc...) that use music that's almost exactly the same as Drive.
