I had him down by one point, so I think he was lucky but it wasn't a robbery as I'm seeing elsewhere.
Well done Josh, 29 and out then for GB.

Don't think there is anything to appeal against and you can't appeal a count back.

I suppose they have nothing to lose but this should be thrown out quickly.

Oh, I didn't know you can't appeal count backs. Although with Olympic boxing, sometimes anything is possible

EDIT: Rejected

It would have had to be for unpunished fouls, which weren't picked up.
Once they are discounted its all on the count back, which can't be changed as its just the opinions of the judges overall.

My top 10 moments

  1. Super Saturday. Ennis, Rutherford and Mo give us the best hour of British athletics in my lifetime.
  2. Mo takes the double. I hardly knew who the guy was before last Saturday. But his efforts in the 10K, the bubbly daughter and the heavily expecting wife just got me. 80,000 people, me & my missus and lord knows how many more at home roaring him on. Didn't know long distance running could capture such emotions.
  3. Bolt dips! He is phenomenal, he came to write his legend and he did. He wanted a WR in the 200, but felt a twinge. And he dipped in the relay to get the best time. Awesome, awesome man
  4. Wiggins decimates the time trial field. Honestly I worried the Tour de France would have taken too much out of him. But he nearly won by a minute! What a year.
  5. Rudisha gives an exemplary performance in the 800m.
  6. Murray blows away Fed. It seemed a long 4weeks since he'd been reduced to tears at Wimbledon, I so thought he deserved this and he played the best tennis I've seen to get it.
  7. Phelps gets gold number who knows how many. Was that the only swimming title retained? What a man.
  8. Katie Taylor takes gold. She had the weight of expectation of a country on her and delivered.
  9. Alistair Brownlee showboats the last 100m in the triathlon. Stepped up the pace to help his bro get a medal and just took the field apart
  10. GB men's gymnasts keep going up and up the table. I thought the had silver, they got bronze. It exceeded all expectations, watching them going up the table on each rotation was amazing.

Many moments I've not mentioned. The amazing acceleration of Ye in the swimming, or Hoy, Pendleton and others in the velodrome. Hearing Ainslie had done the impossible and taken Gold again. The Opening ceremony. Daley getting bronze and the emotion he showed. The blade runner Pistorius and what being at the Olympics meant to him.

What a phenomenal 2 weeks

I'll echo some of Prof's favourite moments (in no particular order):

Super Saturday - the best hour of British atheltics I've ever seen
Mo winning a second gold
Bolt vs Blake - Blake had him running scared (excuse the pun) but Bolt still had too much for him
The Jamaicans in the 4x100
Rudisha annihilating the 800m and dragging everyone else to personal/national bests
Phelps being as amazing as usual
The veoldrome and rowing - an array of incredible performances by the Brits
Le Clos' dad
Realising that equestrian competitions could be so nerve wracking
Andy Murray's performances

I think there's closing to be a few new knights of the realm come new year (Sir Boyle, Sir Coe and Sir Wiggins).

Just watching the montage on the beeb, and aside from the shite cover of Imagine, this is making me incredibly sad that the Olympics are over.

What am I going to do with my remaining 3 weeks of holiday?

1-5. PHELPS, Michael. 18 Gold medals. I'm proud to be of the same species.
6. USA vs Canada women's football semi-final. The best football match of 2012 (yes better than Euro 2012).
7. BOLT BOLT BOLT
8. USA women sprinting and swimming performance. Especially the relays. WR after WR broken. Amazing to watch.

9.

10. MJ/Thorpedo analysis and punditry.

I'd agreed with both of those and add a personal one of actually being there, inside the stadium

Absolutely love the tilt shift stuff the beeb is doing

Last time the Games were here, my Dad was 9.

This time the Games are here, my son is 9.

I rather like the symmetry of that.

We can be justly proud of these games and my moments of the Games are the predictable ones but there's one victory that I'm particularly pleased about...

Winning the Union flag back from the far right.

Lots of medal winners and, um, someone who went to a couple of the events

Rinc's photo makes it look like a table game - it's quite fabulous.

The one good thing to come from no more Olympics is not having Sue Barker on my screen until next year's Wimbledon.

Feel sorry for viewers of Match of the Day.

Or as one wag put it - Oh look. Here's Gary Lineker again, talking about a sport he only heard of for the first time a couple of minutes ago.

Agree with all these (Le Clos' dad was awesome) and will add the 2 women in the rowing (Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hosking). Their reaction when they won was awesome "We've won the Olympics"
