 Aw. I'm a little bit sad that somebody not only doesn't love Jackie, but cannot bloody stand him!. To each their own I guess.

Michael Caine just shows up, does a bad Michael Caine impression and gets his paycheck these days. (didn't see Harry Browne though..)

Danny McBride does my head in.

They are undoubtedly great, as their peers who are experts in their craft and most of the viewing public say they are. That you don't like them doesn't change their skill or popularity (see my post on Pacino for instance. Great actor who now annoys me!). I'd like to know what it is that you don't like about them rather than just a list of names.Not everyone likes Elvis, but he was, undoubtedly, great!

Admittedly Michael Caine does what Jack Nicholson or Al Pacino are sometimes prone to do and that is to say his lines and play himself whilst picking up his salary - but when theres a challenging role for him to do, which he has been doing more these last few years (except the Nolan films), he's one of the best of them all.

Undoubtedly means trhat there is or no-one has any doubt. I have doubt. As others have stated 'the majority' or '9 out of 10' would agree, means that there is a potyrtion of people that won't agree. You can criticise my opinion if you wish. However, are you stating that everyone who has acted knows what great acting is and would have the same definition? I'm sure people like Megan Fox love the work of Michael Caine and Judi Dench.

 Michael Caine has always played himself at different ages. I don't find him or his generally bad movies entertaining. In fact, I believe his greatest acting performance was in Muppet Christmas Carol.

He's done a lot of tosh in his time, but to say that in general he's done bad movies is a bit strange - The Man Who Would Be King, Zulu, Alfie, Italian Job, The Ipcress File, Get Carter, Sleuth are all pretty-to-very-good films, and those are only some of his ones made in the sixties and seventies.

Like a lot of actors you could argue that Caine plays himself mostly, but regardless it's difficult to deny that he has great screen presence. Gravitas, if you will.

I also agree with whoever said Muppets Christmas Carol was his best performance. Seriously.

 Personally, I just think he tends to have an annoying screen presence. When he's in an American movie, I'm thinking "They're going to think we're all like this and that isn't good".

It was also me that made the comment about Muppets Christmas Carol. Although, the little frog that played Tiny Tim, should have got an Oscar nod.
