 Phillipe is such a pouty bastard its hard to like him. That said I have a soft spot for Way of the Gun, (I think Del Toros awesome-ness balances out Ryans twating about).

Not sure if he's come up before in this thread but - ANTONIO BANDERAS. This guy is the worst actor ever. I read somewhere on here that 'The skin I live in' is a fairly decent film so I went to check it out. Devastated to see him in it. Can't watch the film now no matter if it's great or not as I know I'll end up wanting to take a long walk of a short pier. And his sooooo frigging smarmy. I just want to punch him - hard!

 I liked Ellen in Whip It, though she did play a very similar character to Juno. I haven't seen Inception.

I find Penelope Cruz quite annoying, and I know I'm not alone because my friend can't stand her either.

But one I actually HATE with a passion, Scarlett Johannson.

So wooden and plain and her voice, ugh.

Yet, Ghost World is my favourite film, good job Thora and Steve save it.

I'm all for each to their own, I mean, I'm in love with Thora Birch, I'm not one to comment on what anyone else finds attractive, but the husk just doesn't do it for me. It sounds more croaky, like a teenager going through the first stages of puberty. But like I say, each to their own :)

Completely agree. She has this odd habit of talking out of the side of her mouth (and arse in that Ad).

It's kinda been downhill since Lost in Translation for me (That was a bloody high mark though). I still think she looks amazing, I'd prefer red hair, and she was pretty good in The Avengers, amongst great company. She's not a great actress though......



As for Antonio Banderas: I thought he was brilliant in the Skin I Live In. Also I love Zorro! And Puss in Boots!

My problem with Johansson (aside from the fact that she's a mediocre actress), is the fact that for all people bang on about how beautiful she is or whatever, all I see is someone who looks like they suffer from a permanent cold, or perhaps some shellfish or peanut allergy. All her features seem swollen.

Did anyone hear that feautrein the Kermode/Mayo show a while back where people talked about distracting features of actors that once you learn about: you can't focus on anything else.

I always found Reese Witherspoon's chin more distracting than her forehead. Mind you, I've nothing against her as an actress and would happily face an army of her chins to never have to gaze upon the horror and black hole of charisma and talent otherwise known as Adrian Brody.

I hate his face in a way that disturbs even me. And his whine makes my ears bleed.
