I am a movie buff/struggling filmmaker. Just got back from Libya, where I worked on a few films, including a short about the first four days of the revolution, which has played in 5 festivals.

Here's the trailer:

https://plus.google.com/u/0/112943318864959163482/posts

If interested in seeing the film, please inbox me. However, since it's still going on in festivals, I can't have it distributed all over the web. Thanks.

Major movie / basketball fan here. I could sit and watch basketball games and good movies all day and never talk to another human, I wouldn't care lol.

Don't know if this thread gets any attention from other people then newbies but I got a question.

At what point / what requirement do I need to have an avatar and signature?

Hey Lebron and "WELCOME!".

This thread certainly does get noticed and is a tasty thread indeed, with cake getting thrown around right, left and centre!

Don't think you "require" an av or sig, necessarily but it does jazz up your profile, somewhat.

Probably should have posted here before I started posting everywhere else. Hi!

I'm a 28 year old man (well... male) who loves movies, music, comics, books, videogames and martial arts (specifically taekwondo... I've been doing it for nearly 18 months, nowhere near an expert, but it's still a lot of fun). The only problem is in order to quench my thirst for this stuff, I have to spend money.

Hi Im Toni :) not done anything like this before so go easy on me guys! Bought my first issue of Empire the other day and Im not sure but my issue's cover doesnt even say "Empire" on it.. is that normal? Its issue 279 about The Hobbit and theres just the picture "Precious exclusive! When Gollum met Bilbo!" Along the top and "An Unexpected Journey" along the bottom.
Never seen that before so was wondering if its usual or not as even the subscriber covers say "Empire" on them.
Any help much appreciated, thanks :)

Toni, if no-one can answer in here you'll find a thread for each issue of Empire in the Empire Magazine sub-forum (near the top of the main page). They should definitely have the issue and be able to help

Hello, people... even though I've posted a few messages already, I thought it only polite to do a proper introduction...

I'm an internet newbie, only just got a laptop / broadband thing going recently whilst reading all your messages over the last couple of years on other peoples PC's... loving that I can get involved now! Feel like I know some of you personally!

I could give you an enormous personal biography, but I'll limit it to five statements, take from them what you will and judge me accordingly... here we go...

The Oscars are worthless since Tommy LJ beat RF...

Once Upon A Time In America, Ennio Morricone... best soundtrack ever...

Stallone is better than Arnie. C'mon, COPLAND, F.I.S.T., ROCKY, PARADISE ALLEY, CLIFFHANGER, DEMOLITION MAN.... we still talking about this?

Jennifer Connolly is the most beautiful woman that ever lived.

We need a sequel to SERENITY.

So, that's my mission statement, wanna shoot me down?

Nice to meet you, by the way.

Hello forum!
I was lookin' for a place to talk about films and I thought: Empire! the magazine is good, the forum should be too, correct line of reasoning?
So Will Munny, but not out of Missouri, I'm not here to shoot you guys, unless we had a forumer named Little Bill, it would be trouble then
So I love Unforgiven yes, but I wouldn't say Eastwood is my favourite director - it would be Kubrick if you'd ask - or in a more recent nick of time Joon-ho Bong.
