Hello World :)

I'm new on the forums. Recently started going on a cinema marathon and writing amateur reviews. Movie wise, I tend to like SF, Thriller, Grindhouse, Arthouse and Action. There are many movies I do like but if I had to name a movie that was the most memorable for me it would be Schinder's List.

I am quite new to movie reviewing and in general I would not class myself as a film-nut, but I am hoping to diversify.

I am mostly a gamer, but I am yet to get started on game reviews :p I hope to build some foundatons on movie reviews first. Games I enjoy are mostly Real Time Strategy games: DEFCON, Total War Series, Starcraft, Dwarf Fortress, Dawn of War...

Edit - welcome  And site advertising can stay in the sig, please.
I am also interested in computer technologies (programming and overclocking), graphic novels (favourites include Watchman, Y the last man, Powers, Preacher, Judge Dredd, Spider Man) and my favourite novelist is Phillip K Dick.

Well good meeting you all!

I too am new, so I'll give you a heads up. These boards appear to be filled by people that like talking about sexy stuff and being silly. It's like the Big Brother house.

I'd place it alongside Klute in its mixture of atmospheric thriller and character study. It's still my favourite film by Jacques Audiard and everything he's done is brilliant.

Ditto - I teeter with Beat and Prophet, but it's still this. Interesting comparison to Klute, though.

I too have pondered this. I think the Empire forum is a bit like the "Bermuda Triangle", some go in and just never return....
