Pre order bonus leaked out...

This themed expansion pack features four legendary maps from Battlefield 2 boldly re-imagined with Frostbite 2 physics, destruction and visuals. Completing the package are classic Battlefield 2 weapons and vehicles, unique rewards, new achievements/trophies, and more. For those who don't pre-order to secure the limited edition, Battlfield 3: Back To Karkand expansion content will be available for purchase approximately one month after the game's release.

That's a pretty shit move and bad precedent.  Will have to pre-order now, gonna wait and see how many people i know are picking it up on Xbox before making a decision between console and PC.  Got my eye on Red Orchestra 2 on PC as well.

I think this is the way online gaming will go sadly. With the cost games now cost to make and with the success of Halo and CoD games developers have to look to ways to make more money through the online play.

I forgot they made Mirrors Edge. I'm with dc on this, I really enjoyed the first one and would welcome a sequel.

Event?  This will be the SEVENTH Battlefield game since Mirror's Edge was released.  Talk about milking a cash cow.

BF 1942
BF 2 + expansion
BF 1943
BF: BC2 + expansion

4 BF games in 10 years is enough for me, don't really care about those others.  I certainly didn't suckle from EA/Dices BF milk teet.
BF 3 is the first PC focused BF game since 05/06.  So yeah, it kinda is a big event for me.

Like you weren't already.

I'm definitely in, for the multiplayer mainly but that does look pretty great if a little too close to other similar games. After the last few CoD's I'm hoping I have the willy power to stay away from the new one and stick to Battlefield this year.

I'm in because the multiplayer will be amazing.

Couldn't really care less for the SP tbh. Nothing we haven't seen before...

I'm glad Homefront or Homerun or whatever it's called is not that great. This means BF3 is the main one to get. Looking forward to it.

Yeah Homefront really isn't that great at all. Had a lot of trouble getting into games last night and ended up going back to my trusted Battlefield. That Borstal lad can't shoot for shit out of the Huey!

I'll be pre-ordering this myself on Friday and then it's a long wait.

Stuff and nonsense! OK maybe your right but I was still better than Jay trying to hit a target with a tank shell.

If there was an award for deforestation with a Huey, I'd have it 100 times over.

We'll be on again tonight around the same time for more antics.

Blame the pilot Borstal!

It's pretty hard to get kills with the door-guns if the pilot doesn't hold the Huey still! Most people fly around too fast trying to avoid getting shot which is pretty pointless as when the Huey appears most of the enemy turn there guns on it anyway!

In Hardcore, they throw a bloody pebble at you and you're going down in flames. Still at least I have my Huey kills achievement, it's actually pretty easy, if you're any good...

I think you shouldn't fly anymore. We should recruit RT to fly and we should mount the door-guns instead. I've never bothered with Hardcore and after reading 'pebbles can kill' I don't think I will.

I've grown bored of COD Black Ops (and COD in general really).... a lot of people have recommended BC2 and I was just about to trade in when I saw the gameplay trailers for this.

Does anyone know of an exact release date? I need something to tide me over until Arkham City arrives.
