 As a plot synopsis or outline it's nothing new but the devil will be in the details, like many others I'm just looking forward to seeing Scott back on sci-fi and I'm hoping the film will give him a big canvas to play with - certainly sounds like it anyway.

 Ben Foster has been cast. Will he be playing a crazy person? He does that sort of thing so well...Anyway, another solid addition to the cast. He's awesome in pretty much everything...and an official synopsis has been released, it doesn't actually say anything but with it been released soon after the one that leaked can we assume that it was true?

Not many people going to like what I am going to say but it's true. The last good Alien film we had was Alien 3 and that was almost twenty years ago.

Back to the possible spoiler. This is speculation at the moment but I might be right so SPOILER WARNING. It's said Prometheus is going to have Pure Xenomorphs. Something we haven't seen before and for the sake it we call them Prime. If they are Space Jockey's creation and designed to wipe out civilizations then surely they would be designed to serve their masters. Especially if the Primes designed to cleanses planets and are living on the Space Jockey's planet. It's not something you want to have running wild.

So at the moment we pretend the humans and Space Jockies had fallen out and the humans on the run. Not only that but the Space Jockies plans to cleanse Earth with their primes. However what if our human characters stumble on the Prime's factory and corrupt the manufacturing process. Altering the Prime's DNA and in the process making them go rogue. We have a situation of Space Jockies preparing for war, loading eggs onto their ships only for out breaks to occur not only on their ships like we seen in Alien but on their home planet too.

 What's striking about the photo is the bag. It's not a sealed container from the looks of it and it wouldn't be in the photo unless it serve a key role in the film.

How many times has a director promised us " minimal use of cgi will be used"? This film will be a cgi fest.

I just can't really get excited about this film.Scott made some great sci-fi films before but that was over THIRTY YEARS ago!

He hasn't really made a great film since Gladiator and has lost his way.

The Dark Knight Rises is going to be THE film of next year.

I like latter-day Ridley - Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Matchstick Men, Body of Lies, American Gangster, Black Hawk Down. Ok he's had some misses too but between Blade Runner and Gladiator he was hardly on fire. Black Rain was quite good though.

Anyway, given that when he came on board he apparently reconceived the whole prequel idea that Fox was working on I think we'll get something more interesting. He seems very excited about it in interviews anyway.
