I get the feeling Fassbenders character might turn out to be an android. I don't know why, it's just the way he behaves in the trailers, very strange, he has that almost artificial look to him. Could just be the lighting....

I think you're right. In fact, I'd even be willing to bet money on it. A LOT of money.

Shouldn't there be reviews popping up around now? Hope it's not a bad sign like when crap films don't have any reviews appearing until release.

Rotten Tomatoes on Wednesday it is.
Is this kind of release a new pattern; wasn't Avengers and Battleship released in other regions before the US?

Dunno if actual reviews will be posted on Wednesday but should see twitter comments coming through. I think we are getting them early due to the sporting events this year. Studios think that we won't want to go to the cinema. I don't believe that to be the case, but can see the logic in it.

Really can't believe I am a few days away from seeing a brand new Ridley Scott sci-fi movie set in the Alien universe.

I'm planning to go to the Thursday midnight screening (providing it's not yet sold out), or on Saturday. Either way, I cannot wait.

I saw them - they range from excellent to really disappointing. Not sure we can really take much away from them in terms of a consenus view.

But it is healthy to keep the hype in check...

...who am I kidding.

Yes but who cares what the snooty Frenchies think, remember they were the ones who considered Alien Resurrection the best one just because Jeunet directed it.

Anyways don't think I'll have the money for the IMAX midnight premier but am considering seeing it in regular 3D or 2D first, leave IMAX till next week when I've got more cash. Unless Ninj wants to pay my ticket for me?

Been reading a lot of the Twitter feedback for the film. "Disappointing" seeems to be the majority consensus.

I hope they're wrong, but that was always my concern with Lindelof.
He's grreat at building the intrigue and asking the questions but terrible at closing them out, ala Lost.

Oh god, i'll be gutted if this is pony!

I honestly don't put much stock in reviews these days. If I'm sufficiently entertained by Prometheus, then it has done its job.

It's always nice when a film you like receives widespread acclaim, but really the only thing that truly matters is your perception of the film.

Of course. That's not to say they can't give you an indication as to whether or not it's going to be any good though

I'm seeing this Thursday night and can't bloody wait. I've tried to avoid the latest round of trailers and TV spots but my will power is close to breaking.
